BMPT/72 Should not be 10.3

In my experience the atgms have been fairly easy to use mid-long range, only downside of the missiles is the low placement (especially 2nd row) on the TT one. So I wouldn’t say speed is a con here.

Neither would I say it’s a con.
I’m more saying speed isn’t particularly relevant due to how players can prefer different speeds, making any data rather muddy.

Hmmm, I guess? Personally, the speed is a bonus as you are far more likely to catch an enemy before they reverse back to cover. But I can see that having time to aim can be useful with a slower missile.

The autocannon might be ok but the 9040C, the PUMA and the 2S38 are the only Autocannon only vehicles at 10.3+ so while having better offense thant the PUMA its still undergunned.

No those 2 being at the same BR makes sense. One has more pen on its cannon but the other has better armor, an active protection system and a crewless turret.

True but you also stated

which is not true
The BMPT is 10.3 weapons on 12.0+ protection with a crewless turret at 10.3. Its completely obvious that its under BRed

It’s 13.0 protection at 10.3, it’s criminally and diabolically under BR’d. There isn’t a single vehicle like it at 10.3.

Oh yeah for me it’s also mostly either against Russia or fully mixed, but 10.3 Russia seems to have such an upwards pull at the moment that I barely see any 10.3 games with my US 10.7 lineup.

The T-62 armor is only good against bad players and autocannons.

TURM III armor is only good against autocannons.

So while on paper the T-62 is clearly a lot better than the turm when it comes to armor, however in reality there is almost no difference between fighting the 2.

You somehow trying to convince yourself that the T-62 deserves to be a higher BR than the Turm III was funny though.

It is , actually more well armored than 13.0 simply due to the fact you can’t reliably kill it. The weakspot are there but they are extremely unreliable. Side shot does not matter much.

I’ve been finishing spading a few 10.3s whilst doing the event. Maybe I should play 10.7 or 11.7 instead

Can’t say about UK 11.7, but my Japan and China 11.7 games were fairly decent, 12.0 at most usually.

Yeah. Thats my usual findings at the moment, but CR2s are a bit meh and 50% of the CAS is broken at the moment

I did the first stage with a mix of 8.7 and 10.7 brits was not terrible tried 12.7 was not feeling it but I did unlock the Ajax along the way 8.7 felt better than 10.7 though as there was always the risk of a lurking bmpt stage I’ll probably use Italy

i was playing 10.0 brits and had a lot of fun, clueless paypiggies are so easy

honestly just a blast… until you get matched with americans lmao

If BMPT would have been a german nuke printer, there would have already been an “emergency patch”. We just had it with the Flakpanzer. Glory lasted less than a week and it got a “special patch”.

You’ll see Gajin will just let it butcher its way through all those gen1 and 1+ MBT tanks.

I get more reliable kills with Tow2a than using Spikes. Not speaking about the number…there are just 4 spikes per Puma. Its just one league below the best saclos ATGMs.

Why is this such a hard concept for people to grasp?

Which tank is more likely to survive a snapshot? The t-62, because of the thicker armour giving more of a buffer. It turns a marginal shot into a non penetrating shot. Is it good armour? Absolutely not, no armour is good at that br range but it’s still better.

I genuinely don’t get why people think the turm is dramatically under tiered, it’s same mobility as the leopard, armour is about the same effectiveness (ie not at all), same ammunition. It has the 30mm and the 2 second faster reload but that comes at the cost of detonating on any penetration of the turret. It also gains the stabiliser of course.

Could it stand to go to 8.7? I’m sure it would be fine but it just doesn’t feel that bad to me, given the drawbacks of its autoloader. Could the t-62 move down to 8.3? I guess, but the trouble is you then have a gun calibre increase over the t-55a without an increase in br.

As always , the answer is decompression.

Two things i have to say.

  1. 9.0 is incredibly fun to play atm.

  2. I would laugh if in the next BR changes the 2S38 goes up in br but the BMPT stays were it is.

Thats just the class player guided vs FnF (aka Gaijin guided) issue. We wouldnt have that problem if Gaijin bothered to properly model top attack agms other than the LMUR

Neither, because you actively have to aim to bounce a shot of the T-62.

A really mobile tank with a quick reload and stabilizer.

Yeah that is actually stupidly strong at 8.3.

Mobility and firepower is an insane combination, especially at that BR.

That’s a bit of hyperbole, is it guaranteed? Christ no but it can be enough to stop some stuff, especially with earlier apds that will richochet or just shatter.

I’m not denying it’s strong, I just think people don’t give the downsides enough credit. Agree to disagree I guess.

SwingfireOP on his way to report stuff he doesn’t like (It is literally 1984)

Strange one could claim this then ignore all the downside of the T-62 and to a certain extend the BMPT. Also ignoring how strong the Turms III is if the player using the thing have more than 1 braincell
