Which is hilarious seeing how most of the tanks that rely on good armor as their only strength are pretty mediocre at high tier.

It should be 8.7 with apds or 9.0 with DM23 dart.
You have not bothered to even try to compare it to other 8.3 MBTs, which it completely demolishes.

I know exactly what it faces, I face it on a regular basis. The point which you missed entirely was that relying on chemical rounds when facing 9.7 is untenable.
Yeah, it’s a great tank but it’s certainly not game breaking. It’s a leopard I with a stab, a 2 second faster firing rate and a 30mm which most players forget they have (lulz).
It is not covered in top tier era, it doesn’t have a damage model which renders it unkillable when hull down, it doesn’t have a gun which defies the reality of the weapon system.

It has apds already. Unsure on the generation of apds so perhaps it’s shatter happy but I think it’s a later version due to the L7 gun.
Well yeah, I’m not really bothered by it so not gonna put effort in to do a full analysis of its competitors, I’m certainly not going to do it to satisfy some whataboutism.
This thing is way op at its current BR. Yesterday i saw at least 6 or 7 in one battle …

It surely is better off against 9.7s than our 7.3s are against T58. HESH hitting tracks and nuking things will work against majority of tanks and even if you miss, doing a follow-up shot is incredibly easy due to amazing reload.
And with better optics and gun handling.
Full stabilization alone would make Leopard 1 a solid 8.3. Now add all the advantages of Turm III and you’ll realize it’s easily a 8.7 vehicle.
Again, it’s easily on par if not better than T-62, which already is at 8.7.
And tanks without that can’t be too strong for their BR.

If armor was as impactful if you are making it out to be than high/top tier balance would look a lot different than it was in reality lol.

Well yeah, better vehicles go higher in br (usually). The t-62 is a very different tank firing apfsds and actual armour of course (although cursed by a longer reload). Tbh, I’d have no objection to the turm going to 8.7, however even given its advantages over the leopard I it’s still not as dominant as the bmpt.
It’s also interesting no one ever complains about the vickers mk1, which is also decently mobile, fires the a excellent apds round, is fully stabilised and also features a 5 second reload (with aced crew)

Is it a good tank? No, it’s utter crap lol but it has some compensation for its br placement.
You said “it has actual armor” while almost the entire hull and a sizable part of the turret is a lolpen for most MBTs at the same BR.
Context matters.
It has good armour for its br, and far better armour than the turm 3.
Of course it’s not covered in composite or era and is just rha. It helps for marginal shots etc. doesn’t make it a good tank, but it’s not untrue.

People also wanted 2S38 to go to those BR (rightfully so), but as you may know, why would gaijin gut their cash cow? Destroying a BR bracket with a cancer vehicle is the least of their concern if the vehicle is making them a lot of money. And this time wont be the last.
I also want to point out that the Terminator being .3 BR higher than bradley is funny. I have said many times before but I wanna say it again: Bring the Bradley down to 9.3 please, its so overtiered. They need to fire the guy who is handling the balancing department. They Clearly dont play their own game.

Not really since almost everything with main cannon can pretty much lolpen it at 8.3, except for on some spots on the turret cheeks. The armor is only good against some autocannons.
If the T-62 has good armor for it’s BR than by your own standards the Abrams tanks also have good armor for their BR.
The turret cheeks to the left or right of the barrels. But even then it can blowout and the crew is safe or the dart passes through without doing any damage or making the belt yellow. Gaijin already “fixed” the “bug” where shooting the missile doesn’t kill it. You’re just cooked in this situation unfortunately. Do what the other guys are saying to flank it or go BEHIND IT. 9000 IQ move and you’re just a bad player. Proceeds to look up your stats. (Im being satirical for any idiot reading this comment)
Of course it can be penned, that is exactly why the move to composite came about. The chieftain mk3/5 are in exactly the same boat with fairly thick armour but it’s rha.
It has good armour for its br, meaning the armour, while not amazing, is still far better than most other things at the same br which helps with marginal penetrations etc.
