Even if we exclude that it doesn’t seem like Gajin’s keen on any of the post USSR states to the USSR considering the only post soviet vehicle that isn’t russian is the SU-25BM.
Tbh while I can’t say how bad the current BMPTs are to fight in personal experience, I would like to see more, just balanced better
Actually, I can also abuse the Terminator while driving Puma VJTF
Just die so the stats go lower to the point were they wake up and maybe notice something isnt doing as intended…
Guys, I have a Mission…
The thing is, if I wanted Infantry, I’d go and play another game (which I can’t name because rules) - Gaijin is late to the party, and anyway, from what I have seen of the playtest? It looks like it needs a lot of polish. And anyway, I’d much rather go play other game that I have forked out money for, because at least it is somewhat fair and enjoyable.
I quite like 10.3/10.7. I get to play the OSA, the Stormer AD, etc etc, and be a total geek and randomly belt out threat calls (@Caernarvon02 can attest to this) - because it is “fun” for me (LotATC/DCS GCI gameplay my beloved) - unfortunately I can’t realistically do that on 99% of maps, because a Terminator will vaporise me from the other side of the map, or flipside, I’ll play a horror game instead because I’m running away from a Russian tank in the world’s most comically oversized SHORAD platform - that’s not fun, mostly because either a) you get crossmapped instantly and die, or b) your team gets stomped, you get spawn rushed, and subsequently die.
And hell, SPAA players barely interact with tanks and this thing is screwing with them.
its quite fun squading up with you in an OSA and myself in the AD25 Stormer yes. I have the eyes but not the range (stingers are in desperate need of an overhaul) and your SHORAD 'tism is quite a laugh at times mate.
fully agree with you that the BMPT even screws the SPAA guys
I just put about 6 rounds of 3BM42 into this thing (all side shots) and it barely spalled, with minor damage to the ammo. The spall couldn’t even reach crewmembers despite being positioned. And before you say skill issu, I killed another T-series whilst that BMPT was disabled.
Two piece ammo doesn’t take much damage from fragments universally.
Soviet autoloaders are sekeletonized.
Was it unacceptable for EBR and Puma as well?
Or long-standing OP vehicles that aren’t as OP as they were?
Cause for me, I have over 60 different games I can play in War Thunder. 13 ground, 14.3 air, a few helicopter, 7.7 naval. Arcade, realistic, and sim.
When EBR came, I played other BRs; When Puma came, I played other BRs.
When BMPT came, I played other BRs.
Of course that wasn’t 100%, as I did play the BRs and destroy them, but I did play the BRs less.
Russian copers POV: Proceeds to say how weakspots are the exact same as a T-72, when i just sideshotted BMPT and a T-90 together with different results
In theory its not wrong, but what most dont consider is the BR, like thats the weakspot when using allready an 11.0 vehicle, vs POV of the 10.7 to the 11.0
“You need to hit that pixel, not that pixel. Look where im pointing, no left one more… Yes that one, hit that pixel… what do you mean it didnt work? Did you remember to sacrifice a goat to the snail god first? No? Well, there’s your problem.”
Actually, am I the only one who thinks that you can pretty Eazy use the 2 gun system on the BMPT where you have to select the gun/ammo belt you are using for an Possible Dual feed Overhaul on Nato IFVs?
Option A: copy the code from Terminator, change it that both Belts are fired from the 1 gun
Congrats, you just managed to get an proper Dual feed belt system where you have only to select the belt you want, without firing 1 round which gaves away your position to change the belt
Option B: (The lazy one how I call it)
Remove the need to fire an round to change the belt, but just allow insta switch like they allow allready for some ATGM Carrier
