nah it should be at 11.7 to be honest. i am a bmpt lover and i main it and no negotations need to be done.
11.7 is the best for all of us.
It isn’t too strong at 12+. Its definitely one of the best non-mbt vehicle but not too strong.
Not at 12.0+ where it just makes the autocannon competitive (considering other autocannons would have better rounds).
Removing it is just an excuse for Gaijin to be lazy and lax about balance. They can easily move it up to 11.0 (maybe 11.3) and it’d be fine. The issue right now is that its facing 9.7s when it really should not. It is competitive and strong at 11.0+ but not overwhelming.
11.7 as is for me is perfectly fine. I personally have not struggled with it at 12.7 and the M10 Booker at 10.7 handles it well. The new problem with the BMPT is the community sentiment wants this tank dead. If it it’s balanced at 11.7 people will come complain about weaker tanks in other nations that are at 12 without armor 😭
its plenty competitive with apds. adding apfsds would just make it op again.

I was fine. I was explaining it logically. Autocannon dispersion, survivability curves, comparative vehicles—very sane things. Very reasonable. And then it happened again. The BMPT didn’t die. It never dies.
And now—now I can’t finish thoughts without hearing the firing sound. BRRRRT—no, not brt, it’s not an A-10, it’s worse, it’s continuous. It’s always continuous. Even when I blink. Especially when I blink.
I tried to uninstall, but my mouse hovered over “repair files” instead and I took that as a sign. From whom? I don’t know. Gaijin? God? Soviet design philosophy made manifest?
You ever notice how ERA looks like little square thoughts? Like armor plates of the skull? You peel one off and there’s another one underneath and underneath that is just crew. Endless crew. Crew everywhere. Why are there so many of them. Where do they sleep.
I’ll be talking and then suddenly I’m thinking about elevation drives. I’ll be eating and I’m calculating angle of impact. I can’t remember my childhood but I can remember exactly where to shoot a BMPT and why it won’t matter.

Not in my experience. As long as you see it first, you can LFP it or shoot ammo feed. If you don’t see it first, they probably won’t ATGM you immediately so you have time to respond. If its side on, good luck. its just an uparmoured BMP-2M you have to aim properly at in my games.

and he survives most likely, and if he sees you first youre instantly blinded and killed.
you are not making any real tradeoffs, apds means the side armor on some of the better armored tanks at the br will actually mean they arent instantly killed by it and with tanks with spawn liners gives them a saving grace if lucky, with apfsds its just as strong as it was. not to mention that apfsds is not a shell it actually uses.
it already has one of the fastest firing autocannons ingame it doesnt need apfsds to be competitive.

My kids play russia 10.7 all day long.
My GF always goes on vacation when I take my meds.
My dog was taken by Gaijin as down payment for the one year of premium.

in the documents about the bmpts its stated that they dont use apfsds, only apds is an option against armored targets

russia barely even uses apds, apfsds isnt used on any of their 30mm autocannons irl.

you can also see that the belts are unprotected and should cause a chain reaction to detonate the entire ammo

Yea, its also why i was telling people it will be brought in at a lower battle rating.
you cant denonate ammo with spalls of a round, need a direct hit. plus your shot was no where closeto the ammo
gaijin is pretty much using reverse tactic of nato vehicles
Most nato vehicles have no armor but good pen (any sort of TD or light tank) and are high in br
but the russians have very good armor, decent pen and fire on the move atgms are low in br
