I do believe it will be moved up in BR though, just not as high as people desire.
That will always happen; when a tank that is too good in the BR it’s in is changed, there will always be people crying when they change its BR to a more reasonable one.

With the recent nerfs to IRIS-T and the larger warhead on the Buk. Its probably one of the stronger SAMs at the moment.
Right know I would not call theres a spaa top of all. All of them can intercept munitions but none cant deal with ldircm helis. With planes almost no one flies high so radar missiles useless, maybe the aim9x take the crown to kill multipathing targets.

The larger warhead means that even in MP, it can do damage. Had one earlier nearly take me out whilst i was flying low in MP deploying chaff.
Others like the say the Sky Sabre, just dont have the explosive mass to do any damage.

I have no doubt that if the BMPT was added to any other nation. It would have been moved up on the dev server and likely nerfed ontop of that. If it had been added at all
With 800mm you need to aim in most cases. If you need to aim then missile is bad and overtiered. Yes, this can be сompensated by vehicle’s other weapons/stats, but at the moment, we are only talking about the missile, so we don’t take the rest into account.

The problem with that is that what is OP is very subjective and based on experience.
2S38 for example was kind of OP on release and because of it got the interior changed. Some people still think it’s OP, other people (like me) think it’s nothing more special to deal with and mostly a free kill now.
Depends on if it was still getting a premium version alongside it. The T58 also hasn’t been moved up because it’s a premium, same reason likely for the BMPT.
