LFP I can confirm is squishy as long as you have the right round for the job. And aiming for the turret might or might not set it on fire. There are several videos in the fourms where it can be one tapped or does nothing and sometimes lights it on fire and it just doesn’t care. It’s like gambling hitting the turret. If the turret is facing at a 90 degree angle from you it’s more consistent at one tapping but that’s if they’re very unaware player.
To show that I’m not talking out of thin air:
All tests are done with the M322 instead of M338, just to show that you don’t need a 600mm+ APFSDS shell to do this.

didnt the tech tree BMPT’s LFP get buffed? the RDF/LT cant pen its LFP anymore and i know i could on release
also the lfp change doesnt fix the issue of the Relikt overperformance and rounds just sometimes completely dissapearing when shooting side on and the fact its completely invincible hull down, overall the vehicle in my opinion needs to be removed and have its damage model reworked
The ammo rack 100% needs a rework, mostly everything else is just a mix of volumetric bs and player skill issue which are not unique to the BMPT
I was pretty positive that the ammo was the thing that got tweaked, tbh I don’t know at this point. What we’re trying to say is that the BMPT has been moved up and it does show how it’s much more in its supposed BR (Premium could be 11.3/7 and TT 11.7/12.0 given that the latter is better).
IMHO the most annoying feature of this vehicle is the completely unrealistic unconnected belts. However, I could see a world in which that change brings the BMPT down in BR which is not what I want.
the whole turret model i think needs a rework theres too many times i shoot through the breech and do absolutely nothing to the vehicle, and volumetric on the BMPT is a huge issue because of Relikt spall liners fuel tank and the track sometimes for some reason?
in there current state the TT one should just be 12.7 and the premium should be 12.0, the premium isnt that difficult to deal cause its side armour is much worse but it still has that issue of not being able to be killed when anything from the drivers port and below isnt showing and the tech tree one has the same issue but with better hull armour and more crew
i personally dont have a huge issue with the BMPT anymore but they need to make it so its actually killable when hull down, but if im being honest id rather some SM-SV nerfs so my apache is actually useable again but thats for a different thread but i do think they need to nerf the SM-SV nerf Relikt and rework the BMPT turret damage model
I usually don’t struggle with volumetric on the BMPT, most of the time it’s just dealing with it hull-down or when it’s aware of you around a corner or an obstacle
Ehh Premium is very easy to kill… 11.7 is fine. 12.7 for the TT might be too much if it doesn’t get APFSDS darts (does it have them irl?).

the premium is fine to kill in an uptier but if your facing it in a 10.7 tank it can be a pain especially with like M774, and i personally dont think it needs darts at 12.7 considering i was playing the black night and died because the apds can pen my lfp quite easy
not to mention people have been dragging both bmpt to top tier since release and performing fine with it
That isn’t an issue related to the BMPT’s BR, but rather overall game decompression. Everything should go higher to give BRs some breathing room.

true but in the BMPT-72 case the only reason its not really difficult to deal with at 10.7 is because its a premium which i garuntee is the same reason why the premium SU-30S didnt go up

Hull isn’t even the problem at this point, the turret is. All hulldown tanks can be breached in one shot, not this thing. Not to mention the separated ammo rack.
This alone has a huge impact, because any other tank would have to pull back, but a BMPT can just switch gun, press W, and continue swarming without any skill involved
As for the hull, yes, it can be penned, but unlike other tanks or IFVs where you are pretty much guaranteed to disable any possible retaliation by hitting pretty much anywhere on the hull and let the spall handle the turret basket, you have to hit specific spot on T-series hull to explode the charge, if you don’t the enemy can fire back and it’s GG
It’s a bit like saying ozelot or santal can kill a light tank (technically true) and concluding ozelot and santal are fine fighting light tanks (incorrect for obvious reasons). The example is obviously exagerated, but you get the point

This isn’t a new thing you’re showing us. The problem goes beyond BR increases.
There’s a lot more in forums than just mine. The game took already broken and unrefined mechanics in war thunder and slapped it on the BMPT. The game needs to address issues as a whole instead of adding more junk without fixing their game.
I’ve given my points on what I don’t like about the BMPT already and I agree with a decent amount of your concerns.
