BMPT/72 BR Topic

Does nothing. I can post video of my A10 staying 10km away slinging AGMs and can’t be touched by SPAA

here

Well, sooner or later they’ll fix it. If you’re saying it can withstand hits better than the main battle tank.

What’s the problem? Add a unique module to a specific vehicle. This has been done before, and it didn’t cause any problems.

With A-10 flight performance it takes decades for mavericks to reach their target, any semi decent SPAA player will make them useless.

You’re not gonna get close to battlefield unless terrain helps you which in this case you’re basically becoming useless and SPAA accomplished its job.

Very poor counterargument I must say.

I think its unfair to say we’ve barely mentioned the BMPT, theres several videos in this chat now showing how busted it is, and much discussion on how it can be fixed, arguing about its BR is a waste of time because the tank is quite frankly broken

unfortunately we are probably screaming into the void as I’ve not seen a single member of Gaijin’s staff comment anywhere in the last few weeks

Fair enough, I don’t tend to play jets in GRB unless im doing CAP (historically I’m very much a Air RB player, and a decent one at that)

I just thought the clip was funny

Oh trust me they said this.

It’s like you’re out to make NATO look weak when most things in game are balanced minus the BMPT and SM-SVs missiles.

A10 and A-7D/E still provide exceptional CAS in the right hands. Never managed to go without at least 2-3 kills in GRB when I use it.

ive literally answered that message you point to.

ERA has been a problem for years, and it just became worse with the introduction of T90M that has had spall liners which somehow stop darts despite being just a sheet of textile material.

Modules added need to in the first place exist. You cant just add a module that doesnt exist that can somehow be damaged by machinegun like its a baloon that will disable the vehicle.
Like for example baskets. They exist in tanks, but their damage does not disable the tank the same way gaijin decided to implement it.
I fail to even think about what module on BMPT that you suggested would be able to be damaged by machine gun fire would work for this. Most of the moving parts are protected by enough plating to stop machine gun fire but not auto cannon fire.

if youre refering to baskets by chance it has infact introduced a lot of problems. Same way spall liners have introduced a lot of problems.

Well there is certain thing which so happens to be exclusively premium and is able to ignore sams and just murk tanks. So you just turn their team to spaa and increase win chances.

You’re the reason they’re in a BMPT chat going off about CAS.

Yeah I’m pretty sure fictional fake KH-38MT with its insane flight performance plus fake gen3 thermals alongside with overperforming LDIRCM and mini nukes LMUR’s are certainly balanced.

I’m also sure overperforming Base/ERA armor on Russian tanks are also realistic and balanced while most NATO tanks can’t even get their proper protection levels, let alone overperforming in the first place.

It seems you’re the one who’s out there make Russia look somewhat balanced by creating lame excuses.

At least A7 family is somewhat fast and can be effective under smart players hands, with A-10 flight performance any semi decent SPAA player will make you useless in most scenarios, keep in mind I’m not referring to Russian SPAA’s as you love to pose victim card whenever you get the chance.

ok nevermind just check official channel with new “gnss” features explanation.

The turret has drives and electronics that can be damaged by a machine gun, preventing continued fire.

That’s what I’m talking about. I personally haven’t seen any problems with them.

They officially improved it if I remember correctly.

GNSS does not ignore notching. You are still able to notch 120D. GNSS prevents INS drift and makes missile not wobble via overcorrection which leads to lower speed loss and subsequently higher chance of hit.
It doesnt give it any other information than “this is where the last known position of XYZ is”. It doesnt do anything to notching. Without throwing any shade on you, using a gaijin video as some form of a information source is probably at the same level of usefulness as reading WT reddit.

this is the main positive that GNSS guidance offers for missiles.

Those drives are behind armor.

M2 Browning for example:

Unlike russian autoloaders that on damage stop reloading but dont prevent the movement of the turret, the basket completely seizes the movement of the turret, should you lose a driver, track, transmission or engine, which is extremely common on hits that destroy basket you cannot move nor return fire.
It is quite a problem.

this might seem a bit not nice but since you posted a video of your main menu, i went to just look how big is your experience in ground vehicles since you dont have any problems with baskets.

Maybe you just havent personally had problems with them because you dont own a single vehicle that has them.

The problem i was getting at is that with T90M spall liners got added (which atleast in my eyes were a mistake for the games health) and the spall liners coupled with the ERA result with very weird damage instances where the shell gets stopped by a spall liner (despite the fact its effectively cloth, not steel) or the resulting spall post-spall-liner does no damage to internal modules.
This can be for example seen nicely on that type 90 vid i posted up there and i can tell you its not uncommon.

Which is one of the most busted thing that is hiding behind paywall.

Not to mention those skippers are superior to any weapon system that A-10/A7 offers.

It’s a shame, I risk a f*ing brain aneurysm every time I play top tier. No way to counter the hordes of midless bots that spent 70 euros on that broken mythical thing. No thing you can do to stop it when it’s behind a slope, it blows you up with more ease than any other autocannon can even with a less-penning ammo.
No way to counter the hordes of LMUR, BMPTs, T-90M, Su-30MK all raiding your team from each and every angle.
Why do those top tier Russian teams have to be so absurdly easy mode? Many nations had it’s turn at blowing up top tier, but when is this Russian dominance going to stop? What was the reasoning behind their autoloader buff? Why are they the only ones capable of enjoying their little wunder-weapon toys, FnF air to ground payloads and shit? Why is my Eurofighter completely hand-tied in ground RB?

I swear NOT A SINGLE ONE of the game developers are even trying to play top tier with any other nation other than Russia, else, the would see that every game goes the same way.

I’m convinced it simply cannot be balanced. There are a lot of tanks in real life that never made it to game because of game balance.

Sure it can, fix the belt and youre done. Its a complete joke that every single vehicle in the game has to cope around its weaknesses and then Gaijin just took a look at the BMPT and said “nah no weakness here comrade just pure incredible russian engineering”.

GNSS uses information from the carrier’s radar when the target goes into notching for rocket seeker. And so it corrects the flight already in the target tracking mode from the carrier’s radar.
You can check this in any lobby or in-game and watch the replay. Or as i said check official channel.

The targeting systems are located at the front. Destroying it with a machine gun will prevent the operator from aiming.

Its not a problem, its a mechanic. A “problem” is when one change breaks another ingame mechanic.

Experience of what? Now Im even less sure its “problem” if there’s not enough words to describe it.

No, dude, they improved ERA specifically. Made them more resistant to kinetic ammunition. Im not talking about the spall liners.

you’re still aiming at a toothpick behind cover. I have bushes on mine and it completely shreds teams. Playing it at 12.7 and getting a 10 win streak even pre nerf already shows its not war thunder material

You seem to not know what DL and INS drift means.
Literally nothing you said disproves a single bit of information I and others have told you. During the time the carriers radar is scanning the target the data link (DL) sends information of the target to the missile. Should the target notch the missile but not the planes radar the missile will use DL instead until the enemy plane is out of notch.
When this is not present the missile flies either on INS guidance or its own onboard radar alone. If its radar is not capturing the target, i.e. its in a notch or behind cover, its following a predicted path of the target. During this time the missile experiences drift.
It is not following the target perfectly, theres a small error and it drifts a bit away. On re-acquiring the target it then has to correct course which with the drift can result in possibly too large a difference. GNSS lowers this down from 2 meters per second drift to 0 meters per second drift but with a 7 meter margin of error on the predicted location.

ITS BEHIND ARMORED PLATES THAT A SIMPLE MACHINE GUN CANNOT PENETRATE THROUGH

Optics dont do anything in warthunder and those are the extent of what a machine gun could damage externally.

i wrote quite literally: “i went to just look how big is your experience in ground vehicles” it is not my fault you cant read.

there is not a palm of a hand large enough to approach the facepalm im currently feeling while reading this.

I would like if you could provide some tangible information on this claim, like from datamine for example.

If you cant understand the issue i am describing or have described then i really dont know what to tell you. Im not going to insult you over this but i am really baffled how you cant put two and two together to understand what i was getting at.

Thats true but now instead of virtually being untouchable in hull down a good shot will kill it. Vehicles being good is completely fine but if you remove one of the major weaknesses a vehicles has then youre bound to have an unbalancable tank.
