Israel already used BLAZER in the 1970s, years before Russia used it on any of their designs.
ERA was invented by West Germany in 1950s, decades before USSR even began their own R&D on it.

So, would you have been okay with the Soviets being without Pantsir at that point, and you were easily getting six guaranteed kills from space bombing in a single F16? Would you have considered that normal?
Everything you’re saying, just insignificant differences in technique. It’s like saying the F16 and F2 are different planes.
Developed by multiply NATO countries
what does weapons have to do with anything outside the game? We’re talking about the game.
Are we sure we’re talking about a game?
What does this have to do with the current dialogue?
its not distinctive, its just what they use the most because its cheaper, russian ERA dosent outperform any allied ERA by weight, they depend a lot on the angle to perform as good and to top it off they are not the first ones to invent ERA
Again, whose multi-account are you.
This is off topic. This does not concern our current dialogue.
So a R-77 is closer in doctrine and behavior to a MICA than to an AMRAAM ?
Considering the answer to the above question is obviously a resounding “no”, what makes R-77 stands out so much compared to NATO AAMs in this case, care to explain ?
Yes but not all NATO countries end up using IRIS-T
There’s more difference between a IRIS-T SLM or SLX and SAMP/T than there is to S350 and SAMP/T for example. You seem to draw the line at a complete arbitrary point.
They’ll come eventually would be my guess, but since your remark seemed quite broad, i went with it even if they at present not in game.
Distinctive feature. I told you its not a distinctive feature, other nations had ERA blocks sooner before the russians.
A more distinctive feature you could have actually said which is unique to russian vehicles due to doctrine differences is their decision to lower profile as much as possible by the usage of hull carousel autoloaders.
Russian tanks are way smaller than most if not all western designs thanks to the inclusion of the carousel autoloader.
Now this is at the cost of crew safety but it does help with the entire safety onion.
It is also a reason why the russian tanks have terrible gun depression, because the breech has nowhere to go inside the tank in order to depress lower.
So yes, ERA is not a distinctive feature of russian vehicles.
Its a financial decision to cut costs. If you have a 5000+ units of tanks, having to redesign and retrofit every single one to be up to modern armor standard every few years is way more expensive than attaching canvas bags of Relikt or welding on steel plate holders for Kontakt 5 on the hull.
yes? tf you mean?
Theres difference between tank families. Theres differences between tank types. Theres differences between licensed designs.
Try shooting a Leopard 2A5 and an Strv 122A/B PLSS/B+ in the upper hull.
Same way theres differences between many other things. You have this incredibly stupid notion that all tanks that have vaguely similar shape are the same. A leopard is not the same as an abrams. An abrams is not the same as an Ariete. etc.
And even if youre getting at the inclusion of a loader in western tanks, this is also not something thats a requirement of “NATO” vehicles.
Leclercs are a living example of that.
And thats just tanks.
Also this is going way far away from the BMPT/BMPT72 topic this place is about.
It kinda does because it seems like your goal here is to stir things up while hiding behind a multi-account, why don’t you tell us your main’s name?
this is my main account

it sounds like you trying to stir up controversy for the purpose of closing the thread, by deviating the theme

mhm
I wasn’t going off topic. You’re going off topic somewhere else. You’re discussing torpedoes, real life, etc. I’m talking about the game and the differences in weapons within the game.
so back on topic :
Having met quite a few BMPTs at top tier, i think i can confidently say the problem won’t be solved until they make the ammo belt one piece. They are as annoying as 12.7 as in the BRs below. The only difference is they kill the enemy team slightly slower
B-b-but MotorolaRUS will tell you they’re too weak to play at top tier!!11

What the hell is even going on in this thread
