Still broken and toxic
Nothing is incorrect in that video showcasing a round going through a fuel tank.
Fuel tanks correctly do not spall when damaged in War Thunder, and rounds do not fragment either.
Whether rounds are supposed to fragment or not will be for someone else to answer with any information they have on the matter.
The fact that the round dodged everything else after the fuel tank is a small miracle.

So the round went through the fuel tank, hit the 5mm aluminium ring in the turret crew compartment, and produced no spall whatsoever?
The round entered the crew compartment and did nothing, its seems like nonsense to me
I was lucky enough to go through the Relikt ERA, never mind my round penetrate and do nothing
10.7 sweden is just miserable. leopard 2s should to get bumped down to 10.3, and they need to get way less uptiers. after i made a forum post complaining about the amount of uptiers leos get, it was closed because of the problem being resolved with the upcoming BR changes. the problem was not solved, at all. they closed my post for no reason. conveniently, after the post was closed, all my games since have been full uptiers

Is the BMPT model accurate?
On Rosoboronexport it shows what looks like a BMPT chassis (note the grenade launchers and 5 crew) with a BMPT-72 turret.
I don’t think you know what the word “bias” means mate.

the reality is the BMP cannons have always been artificially buffed and the nato cannons have always had the accuracy being worse than their counter parts in game.

Alright, time for more sharing.

This post also isn’t saying anything about BR preference. I still think BMPT, Chally 2, etc can and should move to 12.0, or 1.3 difference between them and Leopard 2A4/10.7 M1 Abrams.
The only shot I failed on was shot 2, where I had a skill issue in aiming too high thus missing the ammo. All other shots hit ammunition. Using L26… a DM33 equivalent round.
Map was Abandoned Factory, which is a bad map for BMPTs to play on due to lack of open environments to utilize their missiles.
So yeah, I still think Leopard 2A4 and Abrams should be separated from BMPT, Chally 2, T-80U, and a number of other rather powerful 11.7s.
Current model in the game is ‘‘accurate’’ in the sense that it has indeed existed but it’s the old configuration from 2002. All active duty BMPT ( especially those taking part in the SVO ) have been updated to the standard you show in your post . So in that sense although current game version has existed , it’s not representative of the current BMPT population .

I heavily disagree.
The Leo 2’s are fine. They are the best 10.7 MBT’s that NATO has arguably and at 10.3, they will fight MBT-70’s and such. That’s not really fair at all.
I hope to see if the BMPT gets to a balance of 1 K.D at the nerf BR 11.7 or if 10.7 gets fed upwards because it needs to feed that broken tank with Russians flocking in large herds using it. Long story short, I will be playing BMPT at 11.7 max in my small part to boost its statistics and see how many downtiers I get and maybe get on a winstreak of 10 games in a row again like I did with it at BR FKING 12.7. Overall, this tank they keep trying to keep alive for the sake of the time they put in and trash lineup Russia has needs to stop. This isn’t going to be one of those forums where things die off anytime soon then gets closed. This vehicle is as broken or full of BS as various other vehicles that couldn’t be balanced or kept in similar situations like the SAV 20, Panther II & Tiger II 10.5 cm KwK hell even the MAUS or E-100, turn this into a vehicle seen maybe every 2-3 years NO, how about NEVER?
Complete rework (Premium only purchase every 2-3 years AND remove tech tree version) or BR 12.7 this thing needs to fking die off already
Matr what? No the leopard 2s are arguably the strongest 10.7s.
As well as that the bmpts are going to shift up helping mitigate the issue for 10.7

I think the leopards suffer the same issue that a lot of western tanks suffer - they all have virtually no hull armour, and even when they’re hull down they’ll struggle against the lolpen ammunition of certain tanks (I’ve had a hull down T-72 go through the challenger 1s turret cheeks at 1Km, while I couldn’t make a dent against his turret at that range)
The big issues is map design, if you’re fighting street to street, a T-series tank won’t really have to ‘aim’, just fire centre mass and it’s probably a disable or kill (my Indian T-90 is my hold W and have a laugh tank)
To get back on topic - It’s partly what makes the BMPT so toxic, it has incredible armour for its BR, all while being able to blind/disable you (without really having to aim, just shoot in the general direction) - in the CQB maps we have it’s pretty miserable to face
I’m not gonna pretend I’m some massively experienced ground forces player, I’m a jet player/wallet warrior with 1 million back ups to use on my prem and Sqn vehicles - but the 10 game losing streaks don’t lie, and the snowball effect is the same in Air RB as it is in ground forces

It’s indefensible and needs fixing. The bloody things shouldn’t be able to delete your barrel at 2km, it’s ridiculous.

That will be because the era modelling is totally broken. They didn’t even attempt to model it correctly and it just defies physics at the moment.

First idea is great, if you want to solve nothing.
Second idea is too much as well, considering BMPTs are performing worse than some other busted vehicles like T58 or Turm III. So, if you put them at 12.7, you’d need to put T58 at 9.7 / 10.0 and Turm III at 9.3 / 9.7.
Premium BMPT should be fine at 11.7 and TT one could go to 12.0 though.
