We all know where this is going. I can only play this game 2 days a week or every 6 days. I am trying to enjoy it. But with the BMPTs this is getting so unfair. About 4 MBTs from my team get taken out by a single BMPT tank regardless of which type it is. Once those 4 get taken out, the spawn is camped for good and we lose.
The tank is so protected from almost all types of damage. You got the gunner? Well, it will keep firing. You got the upper ammo? Doesn’t matter, it will survive. You got the internal ammo? will still survive. You shoot from the sides? Maybe from behind? It will survive.
The past few games there was more than a single one with a BMPT, up to 3 or even 4. You somehow kill one of them and feel relief? Surprise he has back up.
Most of the time CAS already ruins your advance on the ground. But dear lord if they have BMPTs and CAS at the same time. It is just total slaughter for your team.
I am not a super player. I am just a normal guy. Can get angry when I die or see something stupid. But this just is an issue for everyone not just me. This tank has no place at the current BR. The only time I could confidentially kill any BMPT was during a night game where I had my Jaguar. Due to thermals, and the amazing gun depression I managed to kill one after landing about 3 missiles before the 4th finally finished it off. The guy couldn’t see me that’s the only reason why I survived.
The first time I started playing WT was back in 2018. I played it for like the duration of 2018 then my GPU died and had to abandon the game for years. During 2018 the game was so amazing and balanced. CAS was not that big of an issue. No such broken tanks. Nowadays, it is just a circus, and normal tanks are the clowns.
I hate two things with passion in this game. CAS and any aspect of P2W kinda ground/air/navy. Let’s hope they get this fixed. Mainly the BMPTs. I have sadly been actively anticipating other Tank games because of how painful war thunder has become.

challenger 2TES at 12.0??? its awful, if that should be 12.0 the merkava mk3s the t72b3 and arena etc should also all move to 12.0
With there being valid HEAT-only slingers at those BRs now, I feel HEAT protection is finally a valid consideration.
The post you responded to already mentioned T-80Us.
You’ll have to do some serious convincing for me to accept Merkava Mk3.

none of the 11.7 challenger 2s should move up considering there worse than a lot of 11.3 and some 11.0 tanks if they move up to 12.0 so should everything else i just mentioned including the T80u but none of them should since a 2a4 can fight then completely fine and just to double down ill compare the stats of the challengers merkavas t80u t72B3 arena and standard

Every single vehicle you just mentioned has apfsds or apds EVEN the spaa not one MBT at the br primarily uses HEAT and atgms are a secondary weapon

Said APDS cannot pen Chally 2 except on one pixel above the barrel.
AFPSDS isn’t much better.
apds can side pen the tank after the eras gone which is easy with an autocannon

The BMPTs aren’t “the best” and “the most moder” things in the game. They are just overpowered in this game, both weapons wise and armor wise for no reason other than to make money for Gaijin. If their implementation was realistic, they would be a mere inconvenience for most MBTs they face.
As I said previously, they are not made of new unknown armor, the ERA blocks aren’t stopping any NATO 120mm rounds, and the ammunition is magically capable to survive if directly shot. No, they’re just broken right now, maybe intentionally or maybe just because how the game works, but it needs a fix. Uptearing them to 11.7 will do absolutely nothing.

It’s always funny to see this.
BMPTs had a very clear drop in performance after every BR change.
The bmpt has some weaknesses, they have no answers against a hull down camper >800m and often lost a head-on encounter against gepards/m246 lol
