Sadly still can’t play leopard 2a4
The Challenger is a counter but its not a better vehicle at all
On this I can agree with you, my point is that even introducing such mechanics in a broken environment is not something that we should see in this game. The Challenger can handle BMPT better than the other tanks but it doesn’t mean it is a solution. Though BMPT still can one hit it in the drivers port (I did play a lot of this tank family in the past 3 weeks).
Also since you mentioned the 2A4, they can nerf the NATO tanks with this stupid turret ring thingy, yet they can’t model all BMPT features properly?
If we will agree on just simply letting Gaijin adjust the balance by BR movements, the future additions will have the same scenarios. Hitting on already crumbling playerbase which is bad for all of us.
Common ground.
I appreciate your clarifications.
As for modeling things… I only noticed server frequency a few months ago at the earliest.
For whatever reason, vehicles will vibrate, and it’s 100% server caused. This vibration can cause rounds to bounce multiple times on 2 plates close to each other.
And when you apply the ERA casing of tech tree BMPT, a multi-bounce from one ERA casing directly into another causes more penetration degradation than Gaijin intends, and it’s not even from the ERA.
This issue has shown itself on Challenger 2s and Abrams to me. I can avoid it by avoiding the areas where plates are close to each other, but the issue remains.
This also means the premium BMPT doesn’t face this issue because it doesn’t have complex ERA casing like the tech tree version does.
So any bounces on the premium BMPT will be due to hitting tracks, roof armor, or a suspension wheel as well as the ERA and casing.
So the only quick solution is to just remove the ERA upgrade from the tech tree version until they fix tank vibrations causing penetration issues.
@meki98
Challenger 2 TES has superior offensive armament, is a bit more mobile.
In a BMPT vs Challenger 2, the Challenger 2 will win due to the superior offensive armament.
And Challenger 2 TES in general is a competitive 11.7.
BMPT’s only hope is to destroy the barrel of a Challenger 2, and hope a friendly deals with the Challenger 2’s team mates, then the Challenger 2 during its repair in cover.
It does, but it should also leave a note on the post. Similar to the edit icon on messages.
My boy bmpt did nothing wrong, it belongs at 10.3 and it deserves APSDF
Since you quoted me I like to give my opinion both of you are right
It’s br and damage model should get addressed
It has top tier armor so it has no business sitting at 11.3
There are rather weird modeling when it comes to this vehicle like the ammo cook off not connecting to the bottom of the hull + the era situation
It’s role as a TD so it gets an ammo box (the main problem in my opinion)
And the other guy said there’s no difference between 400 and 650 pen which is not true more pen means more shrapnels spalling
Besides that I have noticed a difference in penning .top tier shells feels more consistent.
To me at least
thats strange. for me i get around 75% DOWNtiers. i quit playing it because its just not fun playing the BMPT pressing W and clicking
And M4 Jumbo has 6.7 armor sitting at 5.7.
Armor doesn’t mean everything.
It does when it’s combined with broken damage module and other mechanics
Saying armor doesn’t matter is like saying kontackt 1 and relict are the same thing
Give BMPT darts, allow both guns to fire at once and then it’s fit for 11.7
No Ivan, you won’t get your easy hold-W-and-hold-left-click completely OP vehicle
oh yeah we have the HSTV-L already, can’t have another one…
It is unable to fire both guns at the same time in reality, so no. Yes, the videos with the atrocious accuracy are with 1 gun firing - it’s that bad a system in reality.
There’s also a question mark over the apfsds ammo ever being used I believe, so also no.
Nah, let it fire from both guns, just have the rounds scatter in completely random directions with not a single one landing within 50m of the target
They’ll have to pray for the RNG lords
The BMPTs are genuinely breaking the game at this point and I am straight up tired of it. What can Gaijin actually do to balance it? Because let’s be honest, changing it’s BR from 11.3 to 11.7 ain’t gonna do anything.
They will do the same thing they did with the 2S38, slowly changing it when sales are no longer as strong. Until then, we are going to have the next Russian vehicle to complain about. Gaijin likes its ouroboros.
both ahistorical so no
Connect the ammo rack to the belt in the turret so a shot in the turret one taps the vehicle
THEN, it’s fit for 11.7
There fixed it for you
Because all it takes to counter a BMPT is an 11.7 or 12.0 MBT…
