Usually does? Or at least from the back typically the red markers are missing from the housing.
yeah but they are still there when you get behind him
imma go check in test drive
That’s why I said typically, I’ve seen them missing before. However that could’ve been the bug itself, but WT isn’t exactly perfect modelers so…
yeah seem to have been a bug, functions normally in test drive at least
they should just make the ammo rack not separated
if the top belt is hit fire spreads and the vehicle blows up
Hello everyone,
As you can tell, today’s topic is going to be about the BMPT. So, to get the obvious part out, I do play both RU and US top tier. This isn’t an “anti-russia b/c skill issue”, I’ve noticed it firsthand from both sides.
~BMPT/BMPT-72~
Let’s start out with the elephant in the room; the BMPT/BMPT-72. Objectively and simply put, it’s overpowered and never should have been added. At this point, the only proper action would to be to remove them from the game and refund players OR start adding anti-ERA APFSDS mechanics (which, there are rounds currently in game, such as the L27A1 APFSDS for the British, that SHOULD have anti-ERA capability but isn’t modeled).
…Why it’s game breaking…
Starting out with the capability of the vehicle, the BMPTs get dual 30mms (with a 800 RPM ROF) with mixed round capability or a full APDS loadout ON TOP of 4, fire on the move ATGMs with the capability to either punch straight through any opponent it can fight OR, even with the TANDEM ATGM, just overpressure the entire crew because large filling HEATFS acts more like an HE round than an actual HEATFS shot. (SIDE NOTE This, “coincidentally”, this affects NATO tanks far more than T-series. I’ve tested with both the TOW-2A and the 9M120-1 on a multitude of tanks at the same/similar BR. With NATO tanks, even glancing shots to the front or catching a MG can overpressure the crew whereas with T-series it has to be shots to the rear of the turret. I’ve checked with pure HE rounds and standard HEATFS with more explosive mass and they fail to penetrate the armor so 0 idea what’s causing this to occur outside of it has something to do with how ATGM HEATFS explosives are modeled). Currently, the only spots it can’t penetrate on vehicles at its BR is the M1A1/IMP1 Abrams and the ZTZ-99s turrets (which that’s only because they have FY-4 ERA which started production in 2019/2020 and sits between Kontact-5 and Relict in protection). Then, let’s get into the protection for it. So not only is it sitting on a 12.7 hull, it also receives Relict ERA, which began production in 2006 and was only added to the BMPTs in 2016 and is designed to help counter current day APFSDS. So why do we have a 2016 IFV with modern capability fighting tanks from the early 80s that are also limited to 1st and 2nd generation APFSDS? To buff it even more, Gaijin and their “infinite wisdom” decided to split the continuous ammo belt into an internal and external belt (which makes no sense. It’s literally one long belt of 30mm ammo with no break in it and would be the only real weakness of the vehicle from the front in a quick engagement). Finally, Gaijin also made internal fuel tanks external tanks, even though there’s no liner or armor separating the fuel tank from the crew compartment, which makes penetrating it from the corner even more difficult and less punishing to the BMPT player.
…Why it’s bad for the game…
It honestly turned the game into of zerg rushing of BMPTs seeing how they are near invincible. One on its own can sometimes be dealt with, but seeing how it’s blatantly broken, a lot of players are running it making it impossible to not watch entire teams fold under the pressure of 30mm APDS and ATGM fire. This isn’t just an issue on the receiving end but also from the team with them as they chow through teams, leaving you with no real way to gain RP/SL, wasting both yours and the receiving team’s time and gameplay. This doesn’t include how usually once you kill them, they come in with F&F missiles from jets and easily wiping over half the team in seconds. Also, the fact the damage model in match does NOT match what the hit analysis says is INSANE. I’ll fail to pen entirely with M829A2 in point blank side shots in a live match, and the post-match hit analysis says it should have gone through one side and out the other.
PS: Also found out that it an also get a DOUBLE layer of Relict ERA when it turns the turret… genuinely, why is this so blatantly broken with no good counter ammo and yet still added?
it’s needs to go up to 12.0 br this thing is nightmare to face.

46! This number only goes up…
There are only 3 options in this game
- Play Russia (and make it invincible in a virtual world)
- Pay money
- Quit
💯
as to why was it added? greed
i wonder how many hundreds of thousands this thing made
The devs love ruining the game and all the br’s around the terminator and it takes them this long to realize the thing needs to be higher or nerfed to the fullest extent. horrible decisions and greed and also making russia a fucking super power in the game is whats most annoying but hey thats just my take lol
first they call T-72 a good tank, then they say a BMP-2M module WITHOUT APFSDS belt on 11.3 tank is OP. Whats next, BT-5 should be 12.0?
look where we got, the Leopard 2a4 spam wasnt bad, but the BMPT is. Cry more tho
That the problem, not any ‘bias’
Why is the solution always just “remove them”? I’ve had no issue w/ BMPTs at higher tiers but they’re still viable, move them up.
Each time USSR gets something that isnt worst machine on the rank, it ends up with US mains crying. Yeah, duh, USSR has some pretty good push-and-flank machines that devs never add because of “ussr bias” :/
This game isn’t based on USA vs Russia unlike your claim.
Also its not just USA players its the whole community complains about BMPT series except BMPT users because they dont want too see their absurd vehicle getting balanced.
This thing has absurd unrealistic survivability while having twin 30MM that doesnt have its proper dispersion and can easily wreck anything on its way.
If BMPT’s didn’t have such BS survivability and have historical dispersion for it’s main guns it wouldn’t be as problematic as it is right now.
But hey its legit as long as you keep your op vehicle in its current state right?
Never said that. Lol.
No, its those who always had a first hand on battles who complain.
Same as any other USSR MBT. Just smaller weak zones. Funny how it became “op” when it lost most magic weakspot?
it proper ammunition for the rank it is now, yes. Decent autocannon on weakest belt is again OP somehow.
it wouldnt be BMPT, it would be another poorly made USSR tank with armor that only exists on paper.
