Many of the tanks are already scifi in stats, the only realistic aspect is the models, and some of them may not even be accurate internally because of classification. Like moving rounds on the Merkava.

I think the real game changer is when Gaijin decides to make the push to allowing the Anti-ERA rounds to actually do their job.

Of course, basically every Russian MBT will become like the Merkava unrionically depending on what tank is carrying it.

Most other HIFVs are instagibbed when even looked at so even if it was I can’t imagine it making a difference for them, and then there’s the one who takes the slightest breeze and all of its systems are KO’d.

I still to this day don’t understand “Driver/Engine” the round and spalling completely missed all those charges and rounds sat on the carousel eh, and the carousel itself.

Well, those HIFVS mainly have composites or ERA to boast, those do nothing against kinetic rounds, and nobody really uses HEAT at this tier, so it’s wishful thinking

And people seem to be assuming the BMPT it supposed to have the same treatment, even though it’s obviously on a T-90 tank chassis…

Also RedEffect did make a video analyzing a lot of Russian MBT explosions.

Most of what we see on videos are after the crew has abandoned the vehicle after a flameout, not necessarily an explosion. That’s just them being finished off with a grenade or something be tossed inside.

Them exploding instantly isn’t always guaranteed, but I guess most players just don’t like the chances added with spall liner and the armoured carousel and are like “I hit it, why is the ammo yellow!!!”

While blatantly ignoring the fact the same happens in NATO tanks with equivalent spalling xd

That depends on the angle you’re shooting the LFP, a lot of people tend to not realize that if you want the shot, both tanks have to aligned horizontally to some degree.

The only one I ever see really survive from LFP is the Merkava because the engine literally eats it all like a champ. From playing GB/JP top tier, and now SE, LFP shot for me is instant death every time, but somehow I still only get “Driver/Engine” on occasion.

And that’s why the Merkava got it’s ammo shoved int he front at one point. Because the playerbase is silly and couldn’t except they knocked out the engine, Merkava has to repair, and the fact the engine doesn’t fully eat the round and it will pass through majority of the time.

Crew placement was the deciding factor and the engine was just a good factor to blame it on.

Now maybe at lower tiers with less powerful darts the engine might eat it.

As most IFVS engines don’t eat APFSDS rounds in experience.

I say “IFV” because those class of vehicles had the engine front mounted–the Merkava is NOT an ifv for those who are reading this.

Well that’s due to the LFP being ingrained in everyone’s hands, so when the engine started eating rounds it took everyone by surprise, but there’s also glaring inconsistencies and the protection analysis plays into that.

Gaijin just implemted a similar feature on the Freccia OWS 30

hitting the ammo instantly blew up the vehicle, even though majority of it was external. So they modeled individual belts and now it just cooks off.

This is what I was saying that they are more than likely going to push this to other vehicles.

It’s almost as if it will ruin any BR it touches. Only a total overhaul of how Russian ERA and armor models work will end this thing’s dominance in the game.

If that ever happens, that also means armor for NATO equivalent tanks will have to be worked. As ERA is a one time use, while NERA and composites offer multi-hit protective capability but will naturally degrade in performance, and that all depends on the engine limitations.

It was moved up in BR, so I’m not sure why you’re showing a screenshot with the 10.7 label on it.

If it goes to 12.0 will you be satisfied?

the 10.7 is their BR. They’re talking about how the USSR queue for the BMPT’s rank is still massively higher than any other queue, (in this screen shot almost the same as all other rank VII queues combined, 136 for RU, 144 for everyone else).

it would still do well at 12.0.

The only difference is the opponents would have stronger rounds, so people playing the BS wonder machine would have to use… stay with me here… tactics!!! instead of just holding W and drive straight to a spawncamp.

Moved to 11.3 so you now always get uptier on 10.7 because 190 in que re russians at 11.3. So the BR change is useless.
