Hull down its all the same. Cant be destroyed.

man much time u shot on weak spots or perfect shot in side but much time no pen or no significant damage… here is a video to understand the weak spots shot on russian tanks… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Mh7-1bllQ4&t=113s

Except you can hit their neck and bust their aiming, or barrel or breach, have to do that twice for a hulled down BMPT.

Other NATO IFVs get destroyed from overpressure if hit my HEAT/HE rounds.

Some NATO IFVs can even explode if their “external” belt gets hit (hello Marder, Freccia OWS 30, …).

So to get this straight, people are coping because a HAFV is doing it’s intended role and then don’t understand basic knowledge of explosive and think sneezing on the 1 or 2 exposed ammo belts should cause a Michael Bay chain reaction and explode or the whole vehicle, or even better.

Claim the ATGMS should destroy the vehicle, despite how high above the turret they are.

If people are crying over something like this, why are we asking for more modern armored tanks with 140mm guns, or even tougher armor profiles.

The BMPT has the same lower front plate and middle of the turret weakspots as any T-series tank.

Any inconsistencies with the lower front plate is due to terrain and angling.

So if the exposed belts somehow could instantly blow up the BMPT, not only would it negate it’s hull down ability, but now anyone would just aim for that 1 exact spot and nowhere else, and it would be cheesy.

Because it’s an IFV vs an HAFV.

This is on a tank chassis, that is what you are not understanding. It’s like the Namer running on the Merkava chassis, only difference is that the Merkava armor is so classified that gaijin just made it a cardboard box.

This vehicles role is to support tanks, so it’s on a tank chassis and not the more vulnerable BMP chassis.

“Stop coming bro, Russia is ez to beat at top tier, there is no bias bro”

I’m not sure what sorcery prevents the belt from chain reactioning like every other autocannon vehicle in the game but… Sure? I didn’t make claims about the ATGMs, and if anything I’ve argued in defense of it if you read my posts since I’ve also stated it would make the vehicle literally dead in the water. Even if they ATGM detonation broke a barrel it’d still be seen as a glaring issue, but wasn’t the leo artificially nerfed because they didn’t want a hulled down vehicle to be too strong?

It’s blatantly obvious the vehicle is doing too much, people just wanna stay up top anyway they can, I stopped using the GR1 until the nerfs came into play, doubt many can make such claims to opting not to use busted vehicles solely so they can win and pad their stats like everyone here is trying out for Esports teams.

That’s Gaijin doing basic modeling of ammo. What people should be suggesting is that they give IFVS and vehicle equivalents that same treatment as some vehicles with even smaller round sizes such as 20mm realistically would not chain detonate as easily as the game makes it out to be.

Gaijins basic modeling of ammo gives people the impression of that’s how it actually behaves when it’s the oppisite.

I know you didnt say anything about ATGMS, I’m just listing all the complaints I’ve heard to date.

Doesn’t matter how it actually functions irl, this is already a fantasy game by significant margins, put it in like the rest or remove that reaction from the others why does it magically get to be different.

And when will NATO forces get HAFVs not equipped with cardboard armors blowing up against HEAT/HE shells or .50 cal ?

In 6 years ?

Only Russia benefits from this

Oh really which or what is the name of nato HAFV

Dude it was about hull down. Read the convo

Because like I said, it would make the vehicle virtually useless to some degree.

Mind you that the mentaility won’t be aiming for any general weakspots, because now the single line of ammo is gonna be the first place people shoot, or simply use machine guns to unrealistically set it off.

That is my point, and I simply said Gaijin should implent this change with all ammo belts ranging from these calibers instead of people advocating to remove it entirely.

We don’t have any, or they have cardboard armor anyway. So basically, we don’t have any.

Russia does.

All of these vehicles of which have 1 barrel you need to worry about, I’ll slimly give the spikes only because they can be fired behind some weird cover, but them being insanely unreliable is laughable for anyone to have a complaint.
