BMPT/72 BR Topic

Cant wait to see what the devs first things are when they are coming back this week

I think BMPT situation is so bad they should do post how they’re going to handle this and how they’re going to work that in future we don’t end up in similar situation with other vehicle that pretty much ruins whole range of BR.
What I fear is that devs will just stand their ground and say they have done nothing wrong and say they will change the BR when they see it is needed.

“Works as intended”

“We think the belts not being internal is a clear marketing lie”

“Puma IFV will never be fixed to be a proper competitor”

“The vehicle will receive fixes as it having a K/D ratio means it can actually die, which we have been told by Putin himself just isn’t possible!”

It is a pretty easy debate to argue the BMP-T is superior to the Namer T-shrex or whatever it is, and the PUMA VJTF, which are both above it in BR.

The BMP-T has no business fighting anything below 10.7.

Meanwhile, in naval, another Russian Coastal is ruining the mode (as much as you can do) - the AK-225 from own experience is just easy mode. The hard part is not accidentally jamming your own guns lol.

Gaijin:

We have decided to buff soviet ERA as it wasn’t performing correctly, We have given the BMPT APDSFS and upgraded ATGMs and decided to revert our recent BR change for it

Yup. BMPT should be placed at a BR where the only tanks it faces have appropriate shells. 12.0 should do it

I still can’t get over that guy trying to compare the RARDEN and the 2A42 and literally use the argument “well, if Russia can’t do it, then clearly Britain can’t” (the RARDEN is an objectively superior gun)

So at BR 25.7, where it fights Darth Vader, Superman, Reagan’s Star Wars, and a Bomb, High Explosive, 2,000lb HC.

Funny thing is that with one broken thing BMPT wouldn’t even be that bad. Many vehicles in WT have few things broken that helps them a lot. But in case of BMPT so many things benefit it. It has ERA that in all vehicles work so unrealistically. I can’t count how many times APFSDS has been stopped by Kontakt-1 or Blazer just because how badly they’re modeled in game. Then you have volumetric shell and armor hellscape where shooting weld spots and meeting spots of the plate can make any shot just disappear to void.
You have crew system where long as you keep two man crew alive you can still work perfectly especially if you tank happens to have autoloader or Autocannons.
Then you have modules stopping shells or not causing spalling when they should.
And many more.

If BMPT had one or two of those things it would be fine but it has all of those + good weapons and good lineup.

Didnt you hear?

Soviet ERA is immune to lightsabers, has a layer of kryptonite, The BMPT is capable of shooting down satelites and we already know that soviet vehicles cant be destroyed by just a regular bomb

Surely they will finally finish the new Boxer, because currently its literally half cocked

That’s not just any old bomb…

(balls, I meant HC)

Yeah lmao never, it’s a UK/GER vehicle, it’s never getting fixed.

Guys, remember the ammo bug on Terminator when your ammo blows out but it does not remove the ammo? (Community Bug Reporting System)
The new Boxer has it too xD

Until they completly rework the damage model they are always going to be over powered and impossible to balance.

I just die when my turret ammo detonates :(

My L2A7 spall liner seems to be offlines. It almost doesn’t reduce the spall cone. WTF are these differences?

It’s cause the turret basket creates spall

ya but the liner is outside of the basket, so it should reduce the cone. Sorry idk if you’re being sarcastic

You’re good fam, I am being sarcastic. The main point is why would NATO tank designers put spall liners on the sides rather than the turret basket if they want to protect the crew.
