Does anyone have an idea where the name “Ramka 99” came from?
Two guys are arguing about it in the WT Discord, looking it up it just brings up a BMPT with the old turret (like what is in game).
Some guy was claiming this was Ramka 99, not the BMPT we have in game.
I did also find this site.
I first saw the BMPT being called that in Armored Warfare. Their article on the tank might have some info on where the name ramka came from.
Can’t find it rn, search engines are being dumb for some reason.

Neutered BMP-2M (10.3) firepower at 11.7 is far from good.
Ramka (frame) probably because combat module looks like one. 99 because object 199.

I will tell you a little secret but BMP-2M is undertiered lmao. It’s firepower is basically as good as 30mm IFV can get. Meaning it’s even 12.7 graded. Which means the “neutered” BMPT is more than enough for 11.7
Reminder that BMPT while being in the hands of complete … is still has basically the same stats as MBTs which is completely wild even for a well armored IFV.

I don’t think so.
BMPT is basically a MBT with an autocannon and missiles instead of a main cannon. Protection is what holds BMPTs at 11.7, their firepower for 11.7 is just meh.

I don’t play it, but I have a hard time seeing how it’s undertiered.
It’s mobility is mediocre at best for it’s BR and the opponents it faces, it’s one of the least survivable vehicles in this entire BR range, the ATGM’s have a bit of travel time and are universally less capable than just having a APFSDS round fired from a main gun and the 30mm in itself isn’t incredibly scary for a great many vehicles head-on.
M1’s, Leo 2A4’s etc. will run circles around this thing and one-tap it with extreme ease.

It has the EXACT same gun and ammunition as is on 9.3/9.7 IFVs (with out ATGMs it’s as low as 8.7) with an extra 50mm of pen on the ATGMs.
But how? Any MBT curbstomps it with ease. Hell, in a frontal engagement, most 9.3s dust it.

The ATGM volleys can be deadly, but I think they nerfed the RoF and last time I drove it in a match it was bugged and when you fired it pitched the sight down so you just tossed the ATGM into the dirt.
They nerfed the accuracy by 2.5x, and because the ATGM launchers are unstabilized, they go into the ground. Not a bug unfortunately.
The BMP-2M is just a sad, sad vehicle.

Strange, it doesn’t do it in test drive at all, there is a couple of reports on it, one specifically on the BMP-2M and one one barrel launched ATGMs in general:
