I understand the Blackhawk was added as fan service but compared to most helicopters in US tech tree I believe it’s a firm 11 with 10.7 on a stretch.
Most helicopters at 11 have exceptional agility and better loadout. The blackhawk had Hellfires but lacks Machine gun locking mechanisms like the rest. It only holds ATAS with no unique designs that justify 11.3 when more capable choices are available.
Thoughts?
Blackhawk is already 11.0, which doesn’t change a whole lot cause 11.3 is the minimum lineup for ground.
10.7 I think would be too low, cause that’s where vastly inferior helicopters lie, such as Ataka Hinds & T129.
G-Lynx is… difficult to compare, but I’m leaning toward inferior to Blackhawk.
Even at 11 the AH-1W has anti radiation
Issues which the blackhawk does not
Its because of the hellfire quantity, it already sits at 11.0 with the AH-1W which has half of hellfires.
Sidearm is garbage, not only it needs spaa to track but also it tends to do no dmg to spaa often. And it occupies hellfire slots
As alvis has already pointed out, the Blackhawk is already at 11.0.
The direct competitor to it is it the Mi28 and I’d argue that it’s okay. Though atakas are much more consistent thus better than the hellfires, these are the SACLOS variants meaning that you can’t daisy chain to ensure a kill. Aiming better is the solution to this but it may not always be a reliable one.
With 16 hellfires, though you’ll miss a lot more than the atakas, it’s more forgiving at this BR than if you were to play it at 11.7/12. In addition, you can overwelm spaa but it’s a bit risky since the platform is a boat. Overall it’s not bad for what it is.
the Ah-1W should go down in BR as you only get 8 hellfires, terrible zoom, and no air to air missile. There’s really no point to grind for it when you have the blackhawk. I think it’d be more in line with the Mi35.
