Biggest time difference of vehicles facing each other in game?

What do you think is the vehicle combo that can see each other in battle (max BR difference of 1.0 same gamemode only) in the whole game (time when the first unit was built?

My best guesses are the Me 163 B-2 (1944) and the A10-A late (1972) with 28 years,
And the Maus (1944) and the Typ89 (1989) with 45 years.

Do you know of any combinations with a bigger time span?

In air RB, probably the Me-163 (8.0, 1944) vs the F-117(8.7, 1981).

JA37DI (1971) vs Su-34 (2014) with 43 years between introduction dates. (i’m not 100% on the years though)

Ki-43 v.s F-117 in air arcade.

The Swedish rank 1s maybe?

VIDAR (2019) vs Maus (1944), a 75 year time gap.

Tomcat (intr. 1974) vs Su-34 (intr. 2014, although some sources contest this)

DI is post 1990s due to the introduction of the AMRAAM

They did say:

So i though that as long as munition integration doesn’t require hardware changes it’s still the same vehicle.

DI required hardware modifications to carry the RB99 in the front pylons.

Although, if we don’t consider that or radar changes, then the largest difference would probably be the F-4F ICE and maybe something else because the first Fullbacks were produced in 2006

“front” ? also, did it? While i’m not one hundred percent sure i think it was only software.

No naval players here?

USS Cyclone (BR 3.7) was laid down in 1991. Russian destroyer Kerch (BR 3.3) was laid down in 1915. That makes for a 76 year gap, and I doubt there’s a bigger one.

The front pylons are on the fuselage, as opposed to the wings, and were initially wired to launch IR missiles, not radar missiles

Oh well, then that is a question on whether you count wires as hardware for the context of the entire plane, which you technically probably could, yes. But honestly, adding some wires to the inside of a plane doesn’t really make it a new plane in my opinion. But that is subjective.

I suppose you could encounter a coastal ship in any NRB match (I know quite a few will have a coastal in their line-up for the base caps). Which therefore you could include ships at different BRs such as HMS Orion which is the 1914 refit, and whilst its a slighter later refit we have in game, HMS Dreadnought entered service in 1906

Quite a few ground vehicles at or around 10.3 compared to the 2S38 which has yet to even enter production (last I heard). its about a 45 year gap between it and the Challenger Mk2 for example (same BR) but Im sure it sees even older stuff

OP set the requirement of max 1.0 BR difference, but if we were to ignore that then the largest gap in naval would be between the Cyclone and the Poltava (laid down in 1892) of 99 years.

Yeah, not within the hard limits of 1BR range, but could certainly could encounter each other in a match given the unique nature of intentionally bringing lower BR coastals into bluewater naval matches

and yeah, forgot there was a ship older than Dreadnought in game

the first F4F-ICE (Air defence) prototype was modified in 1991 iirc

That’s the root of the question. Do modifications count or just the first airframe of the family? Who knows anyway

F-15C (1978) vs Su-34 (2014)
