Big and Dangerous requirements

What is the requirement for the big and dangerous challenge? Killed more than 3 enemy planes in one game with both the FW189 and the old premium vautour in arcade. Both count as bombers, Didn’t got a single success.

This challenge is bad, by the way. Getting 3 player kills with a bomber is near impossible in today’s meta.

“Destroy 3 player vehicles without losing your own while driving a bomber a specified number of times”

I’m assuming player controlled aircraft, ground vehicles, and ships will count as well.

The trick is you cannot die once you get 3+ kills or it doesn’t count. You’d have to survive till the end of the match.

Fly in AiR RB and use a T-18B, SB2C (the French rank III) or the B7A2.

3 kills in one match shouldn’t be an issue.

I did. Got 7 kills in the FW189. OK it’s Rank I, but it’s an event vehicle.
With the Vautour I also lastet till the 3 kills were done.
With the SB2C it seems to work. Odd that the Vautour doesn’t.

Ground is way easier finished it in 3 matches

I can just recommen using something like the tu2 in GRB its fun and easy

Every battle pass has one or two of these utterly braindead tasks that are either very situational or require very specific skills (or even worse, very specific BR/vehicle requirements).

They make the battle pass feel really bad, especially if you paid for it. A while ago there was a helicopter requirement, which meant you needed >br8 vehicles.

The purpose of the battle pass is to make you log in and play every day, these tasks don’t forward this goal, instead they make you hate the game, the battle pass and the developers just a little bit more each time.

Battlepass tasks should all be achievable by average players, else why would an average player pay for the battlepass? I’ve played for 12 years and I the thought of having to get 3 kills in a bomber without dying 5 times annoys me more than the 7*35k event grinds.

Yeah, when I read the tasks for the first time I was like:
250 kills, OK, normal play, fair.
25 games playing germany, no problem.
100 Surface targets, half an hour in the Do335, easy.
Setting 80 enemies in fire, again, just normal play.
Killing 5 enemies with 120kg bombs… sucks as german, no problem with france.
Killing 3 enemies in a bomber… sigh… do I even really want this battle pass…

Yup, same thought process too. I dislike playing as CAS. I play as either pure ground or pure air.

This task basically requires you to “exploit” the B7A2, Brigand, etc that can sort of LARP as a fighter and you just batter your head against them in Air Arcade until you get 3 kills so it relies on you having one of those specific vehicles in those trees.

These tasks shouldn’t create frustration, they should just create a playtime requirement. They’re just time gating masquerading as missions.

I’d half believe they pepper one or two of these in there to make it feel like the whole thing is skill based.

There are some players that don’t feel the need to play just in 2 dimensions :-)

Edit: To make this clear - some guys play just aircraft…

It always depends on what nation you play. The need to exploit specific setups just sucks.

I agree with your general view on things, but i actually enjoy playing some of these braindead tasks. I love to fulfill these bombing tasks (which are obviously tailored to please CAS players) in Air RB. Catching some folks on their forward airfield with a SC 1.000 in a Fw 190 F-8 is actual fun.

Yeah, but that’s exactly the thing. You don’t need to change your playstyle. I however, hate playing bombers.
