In a 1v1 with infinite fuel on, and BI is on minimum fuel.*
Otherwise the BI can’t pull hard enough.
Air RB is not just 1 player vs 1 other player though.
The BI has to cope with the fact it can’t pull as hard as a P51 while considering 2 - 6 other aircraft.
This is a topic about air realistic after all.
Not SQB, not sim, not custom battles.
And in random air battles, there are a dozen variables to consider.
Man the bi can energy trap a p51 at will. Equally skilled pilots in both planes its not even close

I do own BI,and i do not own P-59A,i sold that one years ago. And P-59A is easily killed by most props it fights,its nowhere near opressive as BI

Not in air RB, cause all climbing does is reduce BI’s fuel which benefits the P51H in positioning for advantage alongside allies.
it can pull energy out of its ass it doesnt need to climb to energy trap the p51

A bi has a better thust to weight than the p51 at 3% throttle and has a fuel economy of 30min real. Fuel is not a problem for it

P-59 is actually on par with most 5.7 props
It’s “fast”, turns well, amazing firepower but all energy bled off takes an eternity to regain

“Rare” ta-152 c-3 is a rarer sight than the BI-1.
I dare anyone to play as much matches as possible and tell me if the BI or Ta-152 c-3 (TT BTW) is more common.

I have the p59a, it can hold turn with them for 2 circles, after that its over, it doesnt have the energy to sustain that turning. It is a great plane, bi is on another level of op tho

Yes it does have the energy lol. I amazed a few of my buddies, in grb, I was in a 5v1, and killed all 5 planes.
Now my buddy is fiending for that plane.
