R3 no longer performs well. It used to pre-APCR nerf. Now it’s kinda pain.
Now if we received 30mm APHE for omegalul APCR/APHE belt, it would be worth 5.0, I mean kinda because Dornier at 4.3 is way superior in every metric, it has 1 30mm, but 2 serious bomb drops compensate.
BTW it’s insane hownmuch more Costly 4.3 Dornier is in 5.3 match compared to Fw 190 F8 because of 30mm 58 pen belt or 77 pen HVAP, even though you may be able to kill 2 tanks unless you’re very good and lucky, as that thong seems to barely do any damage and strafing people with cannons is a good way to get yourself killed.
The stats fluctuate as well, so that can not be how they adjust BR entirely, since things with horrible stats are raised in BR. If indeed they are getting stats which suggests certain planes are doing ‘too well’ they would have raised their BR, which they haven’t, so either they must see over a relatively prolonged period, which hasn’t happened since BR adjustments have not seem to come for most of these aircraft.
Stats are not as ‘objective’ as they seem, certain planes like early BF109 I have 5.0 k/d with, but doesn’t mean it’s broken. Meanwhile bombers like Tu4 has near 0 good stats, and no BR adjustment came through. Partially because no one plays them and there is a lack of feed back.
Obviously rules bend to premiums like J7D and J35XS. But stats change as well due to change of maps and every BR change also alters other planes. I am not saying that stats do not play a role, but just that it isn’t the entire thing.
It looks like that we are (generally speaking) on the same page as i wrote :
The BR setting of bombers looks like a complete separate thing.
From my pov they use a mix of maximum (TNT) damage output combined with a rather low emphasis on actual results until they are reliably more than a trend. That’s why bomber BR reductions take ages despite they die like flies.
The only sharp BR increases of bombers in the last 3-4 years i can remember were the BR increase of the Ju 88 A-4 from 2.3 to 3.0 (based on getting introduced in the Swedish TT) and the B-18B from 3.0 to 4.0 in just 2 rounds…
Mate I only realized how OP they were until I played on the other side. The E series are weak, but the F (esp. F4), G, and K are all really OP. IMO it’s a flying tank that lacks APHE.
Quite the contrary to me, E is OP, F1 is nice, but after that they were pretty mid. F4 does get to bully some of the planes, but G and K are certainly quite slow and not as dominant on turns. Fire power also inferior to russian stuff.
Nah, it’s cuz of the skill floor. Countless times I’ve seen Emils flying tree-top level and ended up getting shot at by my Vought. The F1 (hell naw F2) is good since more players by then know how to play.
I mean F1 is where the kettle starts but it is also super fast and manoeuvrable at 2.7. Also that axial 20mm tears very well. Later on I just think yaks out run and turn u, and they also outgun u. Spitfires pretty much do the same, and then there are the A6s, also P51s and all those super turning and super energy fighters. U pretty much have no chance. When I played 109E I thought it was really good, sometimes better than F actually, kinda similar to IRL but after that it goes down hill. F4 is pretty much F1 but 1.3 BR up. IDK even what was upgraded.
Well yeah I do figure this is my second tech tree. But should that not be so with most other nations? I know there are a bunch of Soviet level 100s down in prop BR, but is there that much of a difference?
