The German 109s and 190s feel heavily over tiered past 4.7.
For example the BF-109-K4 it gets out climbed by most things it fights forcing you to side climb to be effective as a energy fighter, and the guns are to weak to BNZ with as you expend most of your ammo in one plane to down it. Russian fighters at lower brs like YAK-3 or Yak 9u out do basically every German plane other than altitude same with spitfires its hard to use a energy fighter as a energy fighter when everyone’s got height over you.

Specific BF 109s are nearly OP, but certain ones, especially the later ones are 1. Over heating every time so u are basically with 100% power only. 2. They are also not advantageous in a turn fight as much as in lower tiers. 3. Many other jets have just as capable weapons at same BR if not more.
Russian planes have significantly worse ammo count problems than germany.
German planes after a certain BR just suffer from ARB gameplay, sideclimbing for 5 minutes is not fun, the match length means half the time the match is already decided.
If ARB was slower (longer matches), had smaller engagements etc. The meta would be a lot different. You want to have early impact but you cant when you need energy to realistically do anything which means side climbing every match.
Nametags dont help bnz either there is zero element of surprise and the entire enemy team gets to keep tabs on you basicslly the entire match, which just further enforces maintaining energy advantage and climbing all match.
ARB EC would probably help german planes a lot, same with nametags being removed. Its not so much that german plsnes at higher BRs are terrible, being balanced in hypothetical 1v1 plane vs plane situations when you are forced to play a short length 16v16 circus is not great. Same thing with planes like mig29 at high tiers why bring something to that with only 2 BVR missiles when you have planes at the same BR with 6. Sure its fine in a vacuum 1v1 but ARB isnt 1v1, again you have a limited time to have impact on a match before it turns into a lopsided numbers advantage one way or the other either case being bad for you. Bad when you are losing because you get run dog like a dog, bad when you sre winning because you are fighting your own team for the few kills left.
The Kurfurst is a bit lackluster but definitely not overtiered. And the rest of the 109s and 190s fare far better at their BRs. I’d go as far as to say the 190A-8 is one of the best 5.0s, only rivalled by the Spits.

The D-12 is alright too but the A-8 is an incredible bird
Yaks aren’t much of a problem so long as you avoid prolonged turnfights at low altitude
Planes on the right spot: F4, G6, D9, F8, A8.
Planes on the wrong spot: every A5 (they are dogshit now), Yak-3, Pay2winin’s Yak-3, Yak-3VK, Yak-3U.
Fix this and all will be well.
Dunno about K4, don’t fly it nowadays.

Also I am pretty annoyed at every single 109 with their engines, obviously F-1 onwards. They overheat every so often so ur actual power is lower than everyone else’s.
Ye it’s 5.7 engine overheats really bad and is underpowered without the mods but the 13mms and option for a 20 or 30mm is really nice I know it’s not unique to the k4 but it’s pretty nice
Yeah, I like it cause it has the fire power down the middle. just easier to aim. But meanwhile I do think its quite slow for 5.7 especially. I really think most of the 109s are a bit high just because their ‘statcard hp’ is high and because of over heat they actually are not.
Every single one of A5s is absolutely horrible. They used to be very good. They used to be noticeably more maneuvrable than A8. Nowadays A8 spanks them all over the place.
2x 20mm one used to be the best of the bunch, due to better speed. But nowadays A5/U2 is dead and it’s not coming back.
Yak-3 is 4.0 too. And it is superior in every way other than dive rip speed.
I used to do very well in A5/U2. I just don’t bother playing these since they got their flight model and armanent nerfed hard, while the opposite happened to every other 20mm in game.
I mean F4U4 is 4.7
P-51D10 (premium with performance of D30) is what, 4.3
Pyor is 4.3.
I just don’t see the point of flying A5 over any other 4.0 fighter.
