How do you get a Squadron vehicle?
Squadron research is earned through just playing the game normally whilst part of an active squadron. If the squadron has enough activity, you can earn up to 20k every 3 days. Its a little annoying time-gating but otherwise its free
So you have to be part of a Squadron to get it. Not part of the main TT and there’s restrictions on it’s access.
Yes, there are quite a few squadrons in the list that are for grindign these alone.
Yep, the only real shame of Squadron vehicles is that they have the same research effeciency of regular vehicles, and so cant really be used for grinding a TT past their rank +/- 1.
Nope, it just unlocks like any other vehicle, then needs to be purchased, crewed and then stock grinded.
For example ive done a few games in the Hunter F58 despite not touching the German air TT and have recently unlocked the F-35
Just play some battles everyday in active squadron and you will earn squadron points real quick.

Its flight model is also pretty screwed up so other than speed (which its lacking still) its not even the “best” mozzie around, thats the NF mk2 (however that beauty isnt a bomber)

I meant you can’t just buy it. Not everyone is part of a squadron.
Ah right, its simple enough to join a random squadron, after that you never have to think about said squadron, just play the game normally.

With the high amount of glide bombs it can destroy 13 ai ground units or destroy 3 bases from a long range.
You can literally release all ur bombs and rtb before even gettins a ath missile shot at you.
What makes it better than the US one?
Not having AIM-9Es so you have to run it as a bomber for higher scores in matches. XD
I mean you could do same on american sabre. But you also will have bullpups. Those occupy aim9e slots.
I will give you a tier list of the worst bombers instead:
- B-29 Superfortress: Unplayable against jets. The defensive guns are basically useless at that tier.
- Pe-2 (All variants): Has the worst flight model in the entire game. It flies like a literal brick for a light bomber
- P-108: Way too massive and handles like a boat. You won’t hit a thing because the gunner convergence is broken.
- Stirling (All variants): Just a giant, slow target.
- B-17G: The wings snap if you even think about pulling more than 2Gs.
- Yer-2 (Except the first one): Painfully slow and unmaneuverable

If it bomb bases, its a bomber
I cannot recommend the bomber, as it lacks offensive weaponry and would be vulnerable to fierce aerial rocket attacks; therefore, its role would be meaningless. Once subjected to a heavy aerial missile attack, the bomber would be utterly defenseless; the losses would be extremely heavy. I cannot say that I recommend the bomber; as saying that would be foolish.
I agree with your assessment.
What i miss completely in these various listings in this thread is the “effectiveness” factor. I we have a common understanding that a bomber should be measured:
- Probability to kill a base AND rtb “unmolested” AND
- Mission score achievable with bomb load AND
- Time investment for achieved results vs SL/RP income
…you might agree that most of the (prop) bombers in the game are not really worth to fly; especially as a lot of maps have now air spawn for all which reduces the chances to drop significantly.
