Hello all, today I’d like to suggest the low-visibility version of the Seal of the Belgian Military Forces as a decal in War Thunder. This subdued variant of the emblem is widely used on Belgian Army vehicles, mostly starting since 2014, and would be a realistic addition for future modern Belgian and NATO vehicle customization.
TL;DR: A low-visibility Belgian Military Forces seal, commonly used on Belgian armored and wheeled vehicles.
History
History
The Seal of the Belgian Military Forces (Forces Armées Belges / Belgische Strijdkrachten) represents the unified identity of Belgium’s armed forces.
For operational use, particularly on land vehicles, the emblem is most often applied in low-visibility form, typically in:
- Black
- Dark green
- Dark grey
This approach is typical NATO doctrine, where national markings must remain visible for identification while minimizing visual and infrared signature.
The low-visibility seal can be observed on a wide range of Belgian Army vehicles, including:
Piranha IIIC APC
Dingo 2
EBRC Jaguar (as rumoured on renders, it still has to be delivered)
Griffon: https://youtu.be/uNjsXJT6OlU
Logistic, engineer, and support vehicles.
These markings became especially common during the late Cold War and post–Cold War periods, both in domestic service and during NATO deployments abroad.
