Please just change your way of calculating efficiency ! French tanks and other minor nations suffer terribly from those “efficiency stats” as they played by very few and skilled people.
It’s stupid to compare stat efficiency between a vehicle played by 10 000 people and one played by 1 000.
Basic math rules; if you want to make stats you have to take a comparable sample size.
This brings stupid situations where you get obviously incomparable vehicles at the same BR :
BTR-ZD : armoured hull, 2x23mm cannons and a fully rotating turret - 5.7br
TPK 6.41: no armour anywhere, 2x20mm cannons and impossible to shoot forward - 5.7br
Just compare the vehicles themselves, don’t make wacky stats for gods sake. Why would i take the TPK when the BTR is better in every single way ?
People like you are exactly the reason why Gaijin balances based on efficiency stats instead of raw vehicle stats.
You can’t just cherry pick singular stats like “armoured hull” for an SPAA that’s not supposed to be seen by enemy tanks in the first place (and only protects against 7.62s to begin with, with the turret still being a weakspot against 7.62s with an exposed gunner) or caliber without any comparison of the actual ammunition.
Did you forget that the TPK has:
better fire rate (996rpm vs 800rpm)
more than double the belt size (120 vs 50 per gun)
better shell velocity (1100/1054 m/s vs 980/970 m/s)
HVAP with better pen and ricochet angles than the BTR-ZD’s API-T (57mm pen vs 51mm pen, 0% ricochet at 66° vs 47°)
better top speed (90km/h vs 60km/h)
much better reverse speed (-14km/h vs -7km/h)
I could even state some more negatives for the TPK too, like having a worse hp/t ratio or being wheeled vs tracked, but you didn’t even put the effort in for those.
If you just pick three paper stats to compare vehicles and ask why they’re at the BR’s they are at, you are a massive fool.
While smaller player numbers and more experienced players for minor nations are a problem, in general their system is pretty effective because when you put vehicles into the actual game, their efficiency is based on what actually are important stats in practice and not what players or anyone feels is important on a certain vehicle.
The best example is the community crying that additions like the QN506 would be overpowered before they’re even added in the game because of their stats on paper, and then in practice it’s kind of a bad, niche vehicle.
But that’s technically impossible, as much as F-15A never recieved such system on-board,…
Or maybe i doesn’t know something about it,…
Are you stupid not to see that Gaijin only add systems that were onto aircrafts already IRL?
But anyway HMD is no requirement to be 12.7 and F-15A should be 12.7 as much as everything else that have been added on last update.
Also the sole reason for M4K to be 12.7 is the 8x Magic-II loadout,… → even the M2K-5F which have HMD is not 12.7, because of the low amount of loadout.
But that’s something F-15A can’t claim, since gaijin rated Magic-2 to be the most inferior missile in the latest video they shared to us, and AIM-9M as the 2nd best missile[shooting range #394 video],… not to forgot that AIM-7 are much more usable than S.530D
(God i hope for fixes on Magic-2: “poor man IRST”-aka more detection range / 50G maneuvrability in high energy states / IRCCM is subpar to the bugreport they used)
I am actually slightly convinced that Gaijin is operating under the premise that Europe cant build anything good and therefore cant be good in-game. (even though European vehicles are usually some of the best in the world, and usually outfitted with the best armament in the world)
SAAF doesn’t use AIM-9M, but gripen has it because it technically able to use it.
Germany used german modified AIM-9B on F-4F and 9L, not 9J.
Also Germany didn’t recieved 27ER but german mig-29 has them.
So if it technically possible to mount 7M on gripen and gaijin will have wish to buff it, they can add it for balance purposes.
Funny how they say “we do not ignore feedback” and still the 2S38 is awfully overpowered and at to low of a BR
Same with Pantsir beeing better than any other AA
FlaRakRad can’t even drive up small inclines and if there is an enemy ground target anywhere within 1km you can just “J” out because you can’t defend yourself
I like your thinking, but maybe they should buff the flight model of the Mig 29A instead. I shouldn’t be bleeding literally all of my speed just trying to do very small, gradual turns. To be frank, I’d rather use a mig 23 instead. It’s just that bad. (This is coming from a guy who absolutely loves the Mig 21 and J8B/F too. It’s not like I’m not used to this playstyle) Please please please just decrease the drag on it a bit instead of making it a paper tiger like it feels like right now outside of the R27ERs
Do a quick protection analysis of DM53 (or the actual round itself if it’s in the protection analysis options now) against the front of a 2A4. And then test the front of the Object 292 with DM33 in protection analysis. It doesn’t take a scientist to figure out that it’ll be incredibly powerful in a game that’s all about whoever disables the other first. A 10 second reload doesn’t matter when you can go through their turret face like butter and leave them with a 30 second repair time before they even get a precise shot on a weakspot
