If they add the Swedish Tiger it’s definitely on of the laziest bits of content yet, there’s an insane amount of copy pasting going on these days.
Slap a player made skin on a TT vehicle and make it $70.

I’ve noticed that as well. Some of the challenges are ridiculous when it comes to the battle pass. Especially when the conflict with what this new event cycle requires. Forethought is not a strength it would seem.
And unfortunately Gaijin has taken the more…I want to say anti-consumer but that doesn’t feel quite right position of not letting you still try and grind for the BP vehicle.
Other games have done this before but Helldivers 2 is probably the more recent example people can relate to and they arguably do it the best.
But it would be nice to see battle passes stick around after their time in the spotlight is done or until a new one is added. And then you can choose to go after whichever you’d like.
I’d go farther and say get rid of the challenges and just make warbonds the reward for playing a rotating pool of objectives you can do in the game mode you want to play.
Not to dive down the rabbit hole here but imagine if you will:
You main Air RB so you jump in. The match boots up, and as your selecting the loadout you want and fuel amount; there’s a little box near the map that says something like:
Destroy 10 ground units/bunkers: 3 Warbonds.
Eliminate 3 enemy players: 5 Warbonds.
Destroy two outposts: 8 Warbonds.
Match ends, you did the first one and get 3 warbonds and spend them how you please on the BP.
Personally that sounds infinitely better than the current system. I’d still support Gaijin’s GE cost for them. They’re optional as is so yeah.
Gaijin have been watching too much Oprah Winfrey.
“And you can have a P-51C… and you can have a P-51C…”
I worded that comment bad. I meant how many literal war bonds were the higher BR vehicles? But it’s okay now I was able to figure it out :)
This is not a joke.
Imho the Chinese BP Mustang is similar to a surprise visit of your mother-in-law. It gives you an incentive to do overdue paperwork or reminds you of the urgent need to reorganize the stuff in your basement - so try to make the best out of it.
Imho the main advantage of this vehicle is that it is not part of US teams, therefore you will see a hell of rather good pilots which are playing China as 4th - 6th TT. Ofc, you will face a lot of tankers in Air RB with them, but there are a hell of extremely good Chinese pilots active on EU/RU servers. Last, but not least - rank III allows you to do daily & special tasks.
Imho older BP props like the Beaufighter, A6M6, Su-8 or Bv 155 were much worse as they require specific playstyles to make them work. And the fact that the BR is attached to to the masses of US players using it ensures that the plane stays undertiered, imho 4.3 in Air RB would be a fair BR.
Lol yeah. But I am curious as to what you think the D version of the mustang would be? Like most of the community is advocating for decompression and this seems to increase it. And if this went up would top tier BR go up as well? This is all hypothetical of course.
Hmh - as long as money is the main decisive driver for gaijin, they implement what they want, as long there is a positive business case.
As Air RB became for props a kind of pure fantasy mode i would have zero problems with a “free” BP or event version of the captured P-51B.
If you look closely to the German air TT you see basically a large gap between 3.3 (190 A-1) and 4.0 (109 F-4 and 190 A-4). If you don’t like 109s due to their rather low rip speed combined with high compression >550 kmph TAS - and you don’t like to fiddle constantly with rads to manage overheating you are forced to fly 190s. And 190s were provided with an abysmal FM - you find countless posts dealing with that.
So if their opponents from the US and USSR are clearly undertiered (like P-51 C) or borderline undertiered (USSR) with stuff like I-185s at 3.7 (560 20mm shells and way easier to use than a MG 151) or the Yak-3 at 4.3 - a German Mustang would be not bad.
Decompression and “balance” are imho ghost discussions - gaijin can solve this easily, but they don’t care. Imho this whole BR setting on plain average nonsense is just the excuse to steer the game to be attractive for US and USSR players - in order to get over prop BRs as fast as possible - in order to enter the market of high price pixels called jets…
I would love to see a German mustang as well :)
But I didn’t get my answer. What BR would you put the D version of the mustang at? Not Gaijin
Sry man - i assumed you meant with “D” (like “CH” for Switzerland) the German versions of a captured P-51B - and not the “D” models of the Mustang family :-)
Imho i would put the D-5 and D-20 to 3.7, the C-10 to 4.3, the D-10 to 4.7 and the D-30 to 5.3. Just based on the available performance in A2A combat and considering the wt meta.
The D-5 and D-20 are too high due to lack of climb and turn. The D-10 is very close to the D-30 if flown by a skilled pilot.
I hope that the separation of BRs between Ground and Air will change the BRs of planes with high A2G payloads…
Oh okay :)
Wait you would put the D-5 and D-20 lower BR compared to the C???
D-10 to 4.7 and the D-30 to 5.3
Understandable, and I honestly can agree
Wait you would put the D-5 and D-20 lower BR compared to the C???
Ofc, the P- 51 B/C is much lighter, climbs and turns way better whilst still being fast like hell - check the data sheets provided by @MOBB.
Hmm okay. Thanks for the reference! :)

Uncle wick is correct… better performance trumps firepower for obvious reasons. Gaijin have yet to learn this that’s why the German 262 is so over tiered…
Vehicle performance is meaningless is not used correctly.
Always…
So I´ve been trying this plane for the first time today and… is it just me or does anyone else get instantly set on fire when hit by literally anything? I get hit by 1 bullet and always burn. 7.92mm or .50 cal doesn´t matter. Kinda takes the fun completely away.
Also the 30 minute min fuel is kinda too high. Makes it pretty sluggish for my taste.
Yeah, I find that in any P-51C variant and even some early D’s are very easy to set on fire. Kinda annoying, but it also helps that they get the M20 round, so they can set fires pretty easily
