Battle Pass Season 23: Apollo’s Chariot and Its Warbond Shop!

We don’t have any m46 or we ever get any KF-41 or 2A7, or the France IFVs and Greece nas closer and closer military ties to Isreal

I don’t know much about the types but I will search it too

yeah right

this is exactly why m735 remains erroneously nerfed, the m1 turret ring remains easily penned by 30mm apds, the kh38mt exists, the premium su30’s sit at 13.3 and so on

right exactly you guys definitely take community into consideration

i also remeber the m46 battlepass and people’s reaction to this and im having quite a deja vu here

I would assume just to bolster a potential rank 1-3 for Israel as the independent Korean tree will replace its role as the ‘Skip most of the way to Jets/MBTs’ tree

very bad bp i wont buy it

They´ve really outdone themselves this time, this is really really bad.

I think it was supposed to be axis minors only… Back when it made more sense.

Is it just me or is this battle pass has top reward that normally would be the 51th reward? battlepasses overall need overhaul, but this is going the wrong way.

Response has so far been overwhelmingly negative, it’s incredibly hard to get a 57% No vote in a community that basically votes “yes, tech tree” on everything.

Seems that concerns are again being ignored at a senior level, and “the plan” is being pushed through regardless. I know you have previously said that subtrees do not impact the addition of domestic equipment, and with the greatest respect that is patently false and I feel that at this rate the addition of Israel low-tier ground is fading further into the sunset.

Sub tree nations are added to supplement a nation, not replace them.

The addition of any sub tree to Israel does not prevent anything Israeli from being added and has nothing to do with low tiers. Any sub tree would be reinforcing and helping provide variety that is not possible with domestic Israeli options.

Not an argument I relish or intend to prolong.

  1. If 5 vehicles are decided to be added to a faction with no subtree, it receives 5 domestic vehicles.
  2. If 5 vehicles are decided to be added to a faction with one or more subtrees, it may receive anywhere between 5 and zero domestic vehicles depending upon the theme of the update or the decisions of the planning team.

Dev time is finite, modelling and art time is finite, updates are 5x annually plus seasonal events, running on a strict timetable. All of the above consume budget and time, and filling a new vehicle slot with a subtree vehicle does take the place of a potential domestic vehicle in most cases, aside from those where the faction has no domestic equivalent. The use of “copy/paste” is attractive because it reduces expenditure per new vehicle by allowing the reuse of existing models.

Anyway I’ve said enough on that and it’s fine to just disagree with each other.

Assuming the Greek subtree for Israel (again, bad idea mostly because it limits options for a future Turkish/Eastern Balkan TT) is intended to be implemented in 2026, is there any news on the parallel addition of Israeli Rank III or below? Israel was added to War Thunder in 2021 and CaID’s excellent suggestion Israeli early Ground forces (rank 1-2-3) was passed to devs four months ago.

Edit; tbh I forgot this wasn’t the Rumour Roundup thread.

most of them have never even played Israel and just vote no because they dont like the TT and believe that it should never became a TT by itself

no? The Yugoslav propose is fine and turkey can became a subtree to Korea if not a TT

now with Greece they will have even more low tier tanks

and what if they are not domestic and they are designs from other countries with same modifications ?

Not the case. Sometimes domestic and sub tree may come side by side. Other times no vehicle at all in a given update as can and does happen.

Its a common misconception that when a sub tree vehicle is added in a given update, the idea is it came “instead of” a domestic vehicle that update. When the case is often no domestic vehicle was coming that major, which is why a sub tree one may have been chosen instead. Amoung other reasons.

Some nations with sub trees receive more than 5 and include domestics too. Again, this varies across multiple variables.

No news currently. Low ranks would typically not come for just ground either, as it needs aircraft to support that too. Any sub tree added to Israel however does not interfere with that. In fact only the opposite. As part of the main issue with Israel is its lack of low tier options to fill out the tree sufficiently, particularly aircraft.

The addition of any sub tree is targeted at addressing existing issues with the tree in its current ranks.

If in hindsight, this is a tease of the Greek subtree? Cool.

Any other outcome is just C+P, which is lame for a battlepass, when at least you could bring back anticipated vehicles instead of just another spitfire.

As a Greek player this look exciting!
As a player, were is da tank??

As a long time WT player you really need to re think the BP concept.

Fair enough, early aircraft is certainly a problem. I’ll refer to the passed suggestion Ranks I-III for the Israeli aviation tech tree (with a revision of rank IV) to point out that a limited early Israeli air tree is possible, though with significant gaps, and remain hopeful that any subtree added to Israel is in support of domestic additions rather than a replacement for them.

End of tangent!

Its well known yes, just sadly too limited in its current scope as is. Hence why low ranks were a significant issue.
