Battle Pass Season 23: Apollo’s Chariot and Its Warbond Shop!

most of them have never even played Israel and just vote no because they dont like the TT and believe that it should never became a TT by itself

no? The Yugoslav propose is fine and turkey can became a subtree to Korea if not a TT

now with Greece they will have even more low tier tanks

and what if they are not domestic and they are designs from other countries with same modifications ?

Not the case. Sometimes domestic and sub tree may come side by side. Other times no vehicle at all in a given update as can and does happen.

Its a common misconception that when a sub tree vehicle is added in a given update, the idea is it came “instead of” a domestic vehicle that update. When the case is often no domestic vehicle was coming that major, which is why a sub tree one may have been chosen instead. Amoung other reasons.

Some nations with sub trees receive more than 5 and include domestics too. Again, this varies across multiple variables.

No news currently. Low ranks would typically not come for just ground either, as it needs aircraft to support that too. Any sub tree added to Israel however does not interfere with that. In fact only the opposite. As part of the main issue with Israel is its lack of low tier options to fill out the tree sufficiently, particularly aircraft.

The addition of any sub tree is targeted at addressing existing issues with the tree in its current ranks.

If in hindsight, this is a tease of the Greek subtree? Cool.

Any other outcome is just C+P, which is lame for a battlepass, when at least you could bring back anticipated vehicles instead of just another spitfire.

As a Greek player this look exciting!
As a player, were is da tank??

As a long time WT player you really need to re think the BP concept.

Fair enough, early aircraft is certainly a problem. I’ll refer to the passed suggestion Ranks I-III for the Israeli aviation tech tree (with a revision of rank IV) to point out that a limited early Israeli air tree is possible, though with significant gaps, and remain hopeful that any subtree added to Israel is in support of domestic additions rather than a replacement for them.

End of tangent!

Its well known yes, just sadly too limited in its current scope as is. Hence why low ranks were a significant issue.

That would never work, especially the Project 903 in the main game, plus the devs haven’t made any ship the top prize & even if they did the GF players would moan to heavens higher than current.

Definitely cannot see that Panther ever getting added as a crate item nor the cooler H-34, nor the cruiser Myōkō as a shop item.

Such a BP would see large cost increase if it ever happened, although that maybe needed if the devs keep printing out terrible BP’s tbh.

The Lun-class Ekranoplans wouldn’t work in WT

Also, the Po-2 is a event reward for the Halloween race, it’s available in every Halloween event, so there would be no point in having it in the Previous Vehicles box

I am pretty sure Gaijin wouldn’t put market vehicles in that box either, so the H-34 wouldn’t appear in it either

They don’t do Rank IV vehicles in the Warbond shop either, so the IJN Myoko doesn’t fit either

To be fair, the Lun-class Ekranoplan is already available in the Mobile Version of War Thunder.

And there had been Market Vehicles in that Battle Trophy before once or twice. The Matilda Hedgehog I think was such a case? Not sure.

Regarding the Po-2, not everyone has the nerve for this Racing Event to get it. Very tedious over a long duration. I can see some players appreciate it being in a Battle Pass Trophy.

Regarding the Warbond Shop, I guess the Creator of this concept never really used it before and just picked some random vehicles.

What not a lot of people realize is that Greece will solve this issue. As you know, although Israel’s ground could support itself fine on its own were to get ranks I-III, the aircraft could not. However the implementation of a combined Greek/israeli Rank I-III for air would solve Israel’s lackluster Ranks I-III aircraft issue as depicted here (WIP, especially the bombers and most Greek aircraft):

(Unfolded Version)

This is the main reason I’m a avid supporter of the Greek subtree for Israel, it solves the trees greatest problem which no other subtree realistically could. With the addition of Greece to Israel, Ranks I-III could be added to the nation finally, with little to no issue. And gaijin’s favorite part I’m sure is that the majority here is copy pasted airframes making the addition of Aviation Ranks I-III to Israel easy for them.

WTMs naval mode and regular WTs naval mode are pretty different and WTM has much more modern ships already

For the Lun-class to work it would require arcade-like reloading, even in realistic battles, as it only has two 23mm turrets left after spending its six missiles and there would have to be more advanced ships in general as well

You are right about the Matilda Hedgehog having appeared before, the ORP Garland was in that same trophy as well. That was the third iteration of the Previous Vehicles trophy and I forgot about that.

Since then they haven’t included market vehicles in that Trophy again and I am fairly certain that they aren’t going to put a high value vehicle in that trophy though. The Hedgehog hovers around 15-20 bucks and the Garland is still the least valuable vehicle on the market at 3-4 bucks.

The H-34 meanwhile sells for more than 45 bucks.

Fair points indeed. I assume the maker of this concept just wanted to go for unusual rather than actual applicability. Like including a Helicopter for the first time in a Battle Pass.

But however outrageous, this is many times more creative than whatever Gaijin has done with the concept in a long while.

Oh, definitely.

I personally am of the opinion that it’s better to have “ordinary” vehicles for the battlepasses and other events, so the actually interesting and unique vehicles can be permanently available, even if Gaijin decides to make them premiums.

It sucks that there are dozens of very interesting and unique vehicles are either entirely unobtainable or only available through the market (or SL crates at extremely low drop rates).
