I am playing RB ground battles to complete the Important target Battle pass challenge were you need to get 15 intelligence awards. Now I have scouted a few enemies and instead of getting the intelligence awards when they die, I am getting a notification saying “Scouted target destroyed”.
What is the difference between intelligence and scouted target destroyed and how do I ensure I get the intelligence awards in the future?
You need to scout an enemy that your teammate didn’t shoot at and if he gets killed you will receive the “scout” reward.
The message “recon target destroyed” without the “recon” reward is given if you recon the target that your teammate was shooting at and then he killed him
By the way, if someone was shooting at an enemy and you scouted the enemy, but then he was killed by another teammate who had not shot at him before, you will still be given the “scout” award.

Thanks, it was really annoying me that I was scouting tanks and not getting the award for it.
You’re welcome, by the way, this hassle was introduced relatively recently, earlier you could scout out anyone and you were given “scouting” if they killed him
You might also not get it if it isn’t killed right after being scouted. If the scouted modifier falls off and you re-scout, even immediatly, the bonus isn’t given anymore if anyone damaged it/fired at it but didn’t destroy it. And there’s a hefty cool down before you get credit again.
Why? No reason. GJN just decided you shouldn’t get credit at that point.
Had the same issue as the OP earlier today. Double irritating because I play Arcade and scouting is not even needed there, it is basically a redundant function, hence I rarely do it anyway. Very frustrating BP task.
It stops them derendering and hiding. It’s far from redundant.

They can never hide from me.
They can’t hide from you??? Why??? You got a wall hack or something??? If an enemy is not scouted, they can turn a corner, dissapear and turn any which way when they are lost on the map. Of course they can hide from you.
I use my superior IQ. I almost got into Mensa, you know. Rejected on a petty technicality.
Mensa means nothing and does not impress. There are millions around the world that could pass a Mensa test, but are not intersted. Over the decades, there are millions who have passed the test, and still not joined. I am just one of those millions, and I feel i am no one special. When I left school at 16 in 1986, my mum had me do an IQ test because of my exam results getting ‘O’ levels, and I WAS invited to join. I declined because there was no benefit to me what so ever. No discounts on courses, books, nothing.
A cerebral joke I used to use when I was in my late teens/early twenties, was saying to people “I was invited to join Mensa, not Densa.” - Now tell me you don’t get it.
Mentioning Mensa impresses no one. You make it sound like it is a huge accomplishment to join Mensa when it isn’t. It’s just a club for narcisists who like to boast to the general public that they are intelligent, implying that everyone else is just a stupid pleb.
