It all started with someone wanting the UK flag higher up on the decal, but a totally disrespectfull yank said that their flag should be the most promenent and in the middle of the decal… “because it was the USA on their own that won WW2 and the English would be speaking German”. Such ignorance is astounding and should be rightly called out.

You were one of many supplyers, but no Americans fought in the Battle of Britain, end of story.
At the same time you were supplying the UK, you were also supplying the nazis.
The USA even made it illegal for US servicemen to travel to Europe to fight, they had to get Canadian passports, because one of the countries they sold supplies to was GERMAN NAZIS. US fighting against the nazis at that point would have been a problem for the US government, being a supplyer to the nazis. They would have lost money. Your so called supply ships were supplying our enemy. Maybe if you were NOT supplying the nazis, Europe may have won a bit easier, ever think of that???

If a British (self declared Englishman) asks why from his perspective countries with a minor contribution are shown at the top of a decal this looks like cosmetics, but it scratches on the surface of some issues which are actually relevant.

Actually i share this pov - but humans actually assign positioning (and in this case at the top) with importance; that’s why the location of certain things plays a massive role in selling things.

there was no actual supplying of germany, just some trade, but not enough to make an impact all trade ended once we entered war anyways. we had put tariffs on german stuff before we even entered the war. keep spouting lies

You could even say that the USA would’ve had trouble beating the Japanese if it wasn’t for the fact that European and ally countries went to help fight Japan, like the Chinese, the ENGLISH and the French. Also, Japan was heavily distracted by being at war with Russia.
Yes, the USA may have in the end beaten Japan on their lonesome, but not without extra years added to the war and hundreds of thousands more yanks being killed.
History even tells us that the US couldn’t even beat the English in the war of independance without the French

Yes but, The Battle of Britain happened 10 July – 31 October 1940. Pearl harbour was not attacked until well over a year later on 7 December 1941.
Just some trade? Not supplying? If you are trading military vehicles to Germany in WW2, made by Ford and GM, you were supplying them with miliary hardware. So… YES… the US WAS supplying Germany even while we fought against them.
For the 1st part of the war, the US was NOT an ally to England. We were just a commercial customer buying supplies and taking loans which we had to pay back with extortionate rates. You didn’t even spill a thimble of blood for us in the Battle of Britain. You were NOT even in a war at the time. You were trying to play both sides against each other.
If the USA was a PROPER friend and ally, they would have helped from 1939. Not help only when Japan dragged them kicking and screaming into the war later in 1941.

You say the US is our friend, yet it took 60 years to pay the debt off. Up until 7th Decembver 1941, the UK was just another cash cow for the US to make money from.

we forgave a lot of the debt no? and anyways, you guys borrowed tens of BILLIONS of 1940’s dollars, you SHOULD be in hundreds of billions of dollars in debt to the US but since we ARE allies, you only paid about 7.5 billion dollars
