Just because some guns don’t have them also doesn’t mean they aren’t a barrel part.
Yea, because you think barrel parts aren’t barrel parts. You’re just wrong. Plain and simple.
What is a muzzle break attached to? A muzzle. What is a muzzle? The end of a gun BARREL. So a muzzle brake is attached to a BARREL making it a BARREL PART.
Because muzzle brakes arent a super critical part of the barrle, or every barrle would have such. Same deal as your spark plugs. (I dont care for Disel engines)
And if they are super critical because a strafe can damage the barrle, then a normal barrle can too, or that would be double standart.
Not every gun is designed to NEED a muzzle brake. Some vehicles need the recoil mitigation while others do not.
Again, not every engine type is designed to need spark plugs. That doesn’t make spark plugs not an engine part.
You really don’t seem to understand the purpose of muzzle brakes and why they may or may not be used. You also don’t seem to understand that any barrel component damage renders that gun useless until it is replaced.
But it simply does not, not to the extent in game. A straved muzzle break should not destroy the barrle:
And if in your eyes it does “Because bending the barrle” then a riccochet off a plain barrle should also. Or that is a double standart.
Metal deforms when it takes an impact. You can see that in the first picture. Now you don’t have a perfectly formed muzzle brake anymore, which is a problem and requires replacement. This is a real life fact.
Ricochets and glancing shots on barrels not destroying them outright is a gameplay change. It isn’t a double standard at all. You can hit a glancing shot on any barrel and it may not destroy it. Hitting a muzzle break is usually never a glancing shot because they don’t have any large flat surfaces to glance off of.
Ok, then lets change Other moduels as well. Because gameplay. To fight against the barrle destruction.
They do this for a lot of things. It blows my mind that you aren’t aware that there are changes to physics, vehicle performance, and weapon performance in this game to balance it out a bit better. Balance and enjoyment is the name of the game here, not absolute realism.
