(Insert archdaemon’s face in old game here)
“I shall take your position into consideration.” :P
Btw, we all need to be polite, stay on topic, and not insult each other directly. Right?
Good luck! Seems weeb stuff topics are always flammable. Xd
About this topic,
I think every collaboration (not only weeb stuff) will be cool if Gaijin adds an advanced filter to enable/disable individual things.
(Which we have as historical/semi/fictional but feels needed to be expanded)
To this day I yearn for a Project Wingman crossover, let me slap the Cascadia flag and Cascadian independence force on my tanks, let me fly the Pacific Federation flag on my destroyers, let me jam to showdown in an air arcade match.
Imagine players saying no to anime when 1 frontline soldiers use them to decorate stuff 2 we are having tank cod and plane toy match as a main combat form xD
Absolutely not, there are much better media franchises for collaboration. In my opinion, such a collaboration would be boring. Collaborations should have a minimum of level of relevance. For precedent on “relevance”, the Strike Witches event is an example of a relevant media for collaboration. The Strike Witches media franchise is about anthropomorphic girls engaging in air combat. In contrast, BanG Dream! is just media about girl bands, and is completely irrelevant to the game of War Thunder or any of its topics. It wouldn’t appeal to many people either, as there is no particular overlap within these two fanbases. If such a collab did happen, it would be regarded as a wasted opportunity for collaborations with better, more relevant anime media.
This is a bad idea. War Thunder is a military sim, not an anime promo platform. BanG Dream! has zero connection to real-world military history, and officially adding it would kill immersion and alienate a big chunk of the player base. Keep it as user-made skins if people want it, but don’t make it official.
Massive +1! Would be really funny to see in game. And for the people that don’t enjoy this sort of stuff… it’s almost like there’s a built in feature in game to remove these kinds of skins from appearing in your game… :3
Well I don’t really think gaijin will ever do this kind of collab unless they drastically shift their goal to achieve in this game, like turning it into fully arcade with realistic stats, but I just thought I should write this after seeing idol master got a similar suggestion passed for unknown reasons. about the “source: Me” thing, it’s for the screenshot and some personal observation about the series’ success and failures.
