Balance and Progression

I’d love to hear opinions on these ideas. These are the changes I would make based off the most recent Beta. The following ideas follow this format, 1 idea 2 reasoning 3 caveat/unless All in all very impressed with the beta as is and had a lot of fun

1: Increase explosive damage and lower the count of them. Change FPV drones to killstreak like 3 or 5. Make it easier to get infantry on infantry explosive kills.

2: FPV drones should not be exploding on or near multiple targets without a kill. I fired a rpg and it exploded against two players feet and there was no kill. Potentially a bug but also I understand explosives may be intended to injure instead of kill as of right now. Maybe they are meant to be used to stun players as it would seem. The FPV drones mostly detonate when crashed but sometimes they fly against the ground un detonated and off target. Lobbing 3 RPGs at the same spot and getting hit markers when only 1-2 people could be there is annoying.

3: Unless RPG’s will have a unlock progression that allows different warheads like thermobaric/tandem/OG HE then I think the normal RPG as it sits now is fine and this will encourage unlocking the different warheads. Although I have no idea what the american equivalent would be unless the MAAWS is added and HEDP/HEAT are added. The FPV done is fine as is but its mainly a recon drone with little explosive power added.

1/2: Vehicles, I would like to see the addition of lighter vehicles prioritized as they shine when combatting infantry and are also more susceptible to shoulder launcher rockets. ie: BTR/BMP/BMD/Bradley/Striker/LAV

3: I dont see why heavy tanks would cost only 500 maybe 600-700 would be a better fit. The AA vehicles are perfect at 300 and double as a IFV. Possible problem with prioritizing IFV’s is they almost all have wire guided missiles. That would make MBT’s a major risk as theres just a lot more out there that can take them out. However current infantry rockets cannot damage current MBT’s very much and it seemed very balanced with regards to helicopters and other MBT. Helicopters are and always will be easy targets in a game with AA vehicles and autocannon vehicles as well as MANPADS. Its just the way it is and helicopters are still fun.

1:VOIP Comms. I understand we may not ever have VOIP in wt. That’s fine. It would be fun but still an amazing and very fun game regardless.

2: I bring this up because I would like to see some other game modes even if they’re limited. It seems like we have a great base structure for various scenarios. Possible scenarios:

Holdout, A small team of well equipped players defends a point against a much larger but simpler supplied force. Air support on the defenders side. Ground vehicles on the attackers. Possibly as killstreaks or player selected vehicles. Probably a special event but probably a very popular one.

A: Medkits could be used to balance teams as well. One side has fewer players but more medical supplies the other side has fewer but more spawns and players.

B: Could include older ground vehicles as a A-symetrical team balance. A mythical rebel force is fielding older equipment.

I’ve been playing on and off since the MIG and Saber were the top jets. Way before ground or navy battles. I love this game it’s always a go to where there is downtime.
