in saying this as well, the bucc, tornado, and sea harriers should be able to dumb fire it without a radar lock being needed. the Sea harrier FRS1 didnt have the needed radars so it would also have to be bore sighted
The thing that can be said about sea eagle for sure, is that it is not very good at terrain following.
That is, it does not do it at all, meaing if you launch it over terrain, it will not react to for example a hill, and crash into it.
Yes in the same way ALARM can be fired in corridor suppression mode without cuing.

Just surprised there isnt a hard requirement for LOBL as a game limitation that is all.
You are saing that, like the past few years with LOAL present in this game were not a thing.
Things like for example, PGMs fired at bases using CCRP lock, just doesnt work half the time. It doesnt like locking onto nothing (at least in SB)
it uses a radar altimeter, it can account for small terrain deviation such as hills, but trees and steep inclines it will struggle with

Well, it does not do it in game, it flies at 300 or so m, and when the seeker find a target, it dives to 3m, if something is in the way, too bad.
greater than 30Kms it will cruise at 200m above sea level and adjust its altitude when it detects an elevation change. once it reaches within 30kms of the target it will drop down into sea skimming

Nope. Well, the CCRP does work, but the HUD doesnt, so you are completely blind

@Gunjob in light of the sea harrier CCRP HUD symbology bug report can we get NAVHARs symbology instead for CCRP?
or the symbology for the LOFT profile instead?

Maybe, if you have photos of said symbology, FA2 can’t as it doesn’t appear to have that at all.
Not a thing in game right now as far as I know. There is also a few aircraft that erroneously have CCRP which should only have a lofting capability, to my knowledge there are reports for those aircraft to have CCRP removed.

How do you loft without CCRP in-game? Until such time we get a CCRP overhaul, is it not the lesser of the 2 evils?
Sharkey ward’s book says “I monitored the Navhars readout, which was tell me time-to-go to release, and the HUD, which was guiding me unerringly to the target”
So there must be some symbology on the HUD for guiding to a target and all necessary information to accurately drop that bomb from height.
Might not be CCRP in the traditional sense, but with the amount of missing functionality in game. CCRP + basic symbology seems like a fair compromise
