BAe Sea Harrier - Technical data and discussion

I wonder if they just copy pasted the guidance stat, Penguin has 200s and the AS.34 is 101s maybe they just copied the Penguin, though Penguins probably wrong given it cant make the 50km travel distance it has due to guidance time.

Coupled with:

Should fix any issues

Though Guidance time might be handy, Gaijin like short changing missiles for that for some reason. Though if we get more than 30km out of them. Im impressed

apparently its supposed to be able to reach up to 96kms, which I would imagine means it doesn’t self destruct and carries on until its built in radar kicks in and finishes the guidance to target or it hits the ground/ water

the range had been fixed but the guidance time/ self destruct doesn’t allow it to reach anywhere near that sadly. it can only reach 25kms

Last I heard, the Sea eagle was still a reskinned Penguin. Im waiting for live

dont worry about the red underline XD
guidance time

it pretty much still is a penguin though annoyingly. hopefully when live its all fixed

Yep, The fact its still IR guided says quite a lot

Don’t worry Penguin is just a reskinned maverick its reskin ception

I wonder what Maverick is a reskin of. Aim-9B?

In the grand scheme of things yes, yes it is

kinda surprised a missile of this calibre doesn’t have gnss tbh

it was made before GNSS was a hugely popular thing in weapons

@Gunjob

How does the seeker work on the Sea Eagles (especially when fired from the Hawk 200 without a radar)?

Is it LOAL or do they act kinda like Torpedos and just travel in a straight line if not specifically locked onto something?

Slaves to boresight so you need to be on a course to target, aim your nose as best you can, and hope the SE finds the target.

But should they be fireable without a lock?

they could be yeah but it heavily limited it, they do have a radar seeker in the missile itself which would become active some 30kms to target and it would then guide itself from then on
