BAe Sea Harrier - Technical data and discussion

Also the Harrier III had a HMD, but at the time the option for use of the Sriker or the Jaguar GR.3’s HMD (can’t remember name rn)

I thought GR.9 had D/L? If that was the case the whole IFF and no radar thing would be less of an issue, if modelled correctly.

Currently, my most wanted Harrier variant is the Indian FRS.51, specifically upgraded under the LUSH program

Please no Churro Sea Harrier

I mostly just want it because Magic IIs and nice cockpit

And Derbys as well. Yeah I’m down for FRS.51.

Agreed

One of the only things I like about it is the easier to see RWR

Otherwise I prefer the FA.2, but if it does get added I’ll probably grind it tbh, and get a new skin

@Gunjob, how easy is it to see the whole RWR screen on the FA.2? (without moving the pilots
head, only the camera)

Pretty impossible.

Thanks :(

Not sure if this is a Magic 1 or 2, but one of the FAA’s FRS.1s (XZ440) was used for trials with the missile in 1982 during the process of adapting the Sea Harrier to India’s needs

@DirectSupport any easy way to tell Magic 1 and 2 apart at a distance?

Only visible difference would be a cut in the tail fins so that would require a close-up image.

Example of Magic 2 missile with the cuts in the tail fins.

is this not also a Matra Magic on an Indian Mig21?

Would be a nice alternative to the R73
