BAe Sea Harrier - Technical data and discussion

And Derbys as well. Yeah I’m down for FRS.51.

Agreed

One of the only things I like about it is the easier to see RWR

Otherwise I prefer the FA.2, but if it does get added I’ll probably grind it tbh, and get a new skin

@Gunjob, how easy is it to see the whole RWR screen on the FA.2? (without moving the pilots
head, only the camera)

Pretty impossible.

Thanks :(

Not sure if this is a Magic 1 or 2, but one of the FAA’s FRS.1s (XZ440) was used for trials with the missile in 1982 during the process of adapting the Sea Harrier to India’s needs

@DirectSupport any easy way to tell Magic 1 and 2 apart at a distance?

Only visible difference would be a cut in the tail fins so that would require a close-up image.

Example of Magic 2 missile with the cuts in the tail fins.

is this not also a Matra Magic on an Indian Mig21?

Would be a nice alternative to the R73

Magic 1 D:

Did India operate an earlier version of the Mig-21 to the Bison?

Yes. “Bison” (MiG-21UPG) was an upgrade to their existing MiG-21bis variants. The version in the photos is MiG-21bis.
Prior to that there was MiG-21F-13, MiG-21PF, MiG-21FL and MiG-21M in Indian service.

That nose is whaky to say the least. Does it have a mirage radar in it like how it is on the cheetah or something?

No, It’s the Blue Fox, or aleast a prototype version

Also what do you mean by that
