Okay, I might have been an idiot. I have been subconsciously going for reheat when in pod view and this is the same thumbstick used for guiding the pod.
Although it must be noted that the lock does not move still only the laser designator which is physically impossible so must be something wrong and the Su-39 still moves the Vikhrs off target when moving the nose (without touching throttle stick). Further testing required when I’m home.
Some kind of keybind confliction certainly does sounds like the most likely answer. But yeah, Laser spot moving but camera not moving shouldnt be possible
Great tip, but for some reason I never get that little green ring around the locked target in the cockpit sight when I try it. I take it there’s another button I’m forgetting to press.
Also, I’ve forgotten to check with the Harrier but now in the HUD for the F-16 and M2K, when you select GBUs with the weapon select function, the cockpit sight automatically changes to a CCIP bomb piper! No more needing to add a dumb bomb for a sight!
Then thats very recent, last week or so. Ill have to check that out.
Edit: Yeah I guess it was added with the major update with the new auto-cockpit mode. But unforutnately its CCIP only. If I want to guided bombs with accuracy, will still need to take a dumb bomb for CCRP interface.
Some pictures for the RAF Museum London GR9A and the Imperial War Museums GR9.
I only now realized that there are two different CVR7 Pods and apperantly none of them have the 100% Wing
Yet gaijin haven’t given us any of the correct CRV-7 pods used in RAF service.
The pods we have on jets carrying CRV-7 are modelled after a LAU-51. Not the the proper LAU-5003A/B/C setup we had on Jaguar and Harrier where they had a fully frangible nose cone like the LAU-3s have on US jets (green pod in your photo). Or the later LAU-5003D that was used late in Harrier’s career which had a perforable cover stretched over an aerodynamic fairing (the grey one in your photo).
Is the gunsight not calibrated properly or something?
I decided to try and get a kill in first person I put lead on the target using the gunsight (i think the current one is set to 2500 feet and i was right about there) and the rounds just miss. I tried more and less lead but I can’t hit anything with these guns.
