Yeah, the sooty exhaust is just stupid.
I was in the Hunter F6 a while ago in SB and there was an AV-8C on our team. I was VIDing him cross map with ease because he was the only one with the sooty exhaust.

Apologies for necro-posting here, but the fact Britain doesn’t have a Harrier Gr.5 yet (and the US doesn’t have an AV-8B DA) boggles my mind…

The GR5 would be a cool lower BR addition, but ultimately we got the T-10 instead to fullfill that role.
The real question is why we havent gotten the GR9A yet

It could still fit being that the T.10 is premium and being removed from the store (for now).

Oh definitely, I’m guessing we will see the GR.9 (whenever that will be) before they go back to the GR.5.
Though if we do get the GR.9 I wonder if we could see the T.12 too. Would just be the GR.9 but twin seat.
As it stands, the T-10 might as well be renamed the T12, it has the right engine and I dont think there was much else different to the T12

The GR.5 would be nice at 10.0 since it would be just a better GR.3 but with no guided weapons like the GR.7 or even the Jaaaaaaag or Bucc at 10.3. 6x AIM-9G would be great even with no BOL.

I’m pretty sure the GR.5, I think it had some guided bombs it could use.
We could also ask for the GR.5 with the Pegasus 11-61

GR.5 never had a TPOD, so while it could take some paveways, it couldn’t self designate. IIRC normally the Jags designated for GR.5s

The GR.5A had some upgrades to make way for GR.7 but I don’t know if it had TGP capability.
