The RAF Harriers also had it too. There’s a guy on TikTok that flew in a Harrier for a documentary or series. I think he was from either the BBC or ITV. But in there you can see on the HUD NAVFLIR in action.
There’s this clip on YouTube showing it in action with the GR7.
[Edit] Found the guy on TikTok, James Blatch. Fantastic look at the T.10 from the rear seat. He’s got a few clips on TikTok on it and theres also the full video on YouTube. (You can also see NAVFLIR working on the HUD throughout the clips and the video.)
People will fight you on that but I agree with you that they should just give us the proper FM and raise all Harriers up by 7 whole BRs so that they are balanced
You are very clearly new to this. Besides the fact that you say you just bought it. I can tell by you fighting will that the Harriers will be a struggle for you but it is all pointless :(
The buff is accurate and it has a lot more yet to come, but I think they messed something up with the rudder. Its the issue of fixing the FM in drips and drabs rather than doing it properly
In that clip you have quite a heavy warload in the AV-8B(NA)? So that might have a factor, Its hard for me to test properly due not owning it (and therefore no decently heavy loadout with a gun by default)
I think im getting something similar, but I think its an instructor issue not a harrier issue as it is entirely and completely eliminated when in Full controls using a HOTAS (with and without damping)
So i’ll do some more testing and work on a report but I think whats happening is that the Rudder is over compensating with a heavy warload
Edit: re-tested GR7 with its heaviest possble warload and I did get it a bit.
Edit2: tested FRS1 with max fuel and warload, nothing, so I think its a Harrier II issue
Just an honest question, what are the differences between the AV-8B(NA) and Harrier GR7 that make the AV-8B(NA) 555 kg heavier? Their engines way the same in the current build of War Thunder and the two have very similar flight models, sharing some metrics. However, the Harrier GR7 far out-performs the AV-8B(NA) in turn performance, from what I can gather, because of the difference in weight; despite the AV-8B(NA) having 820 kgf more thrust with its engine.
Not complaining, just looking for insight incase I may have missed something.
I’m pretty sure the av-8b is far too light if i remember right, should be much heavier. anyways the av8b was reinforced in order to carry much more ordinance over the gr7
