BAe Harrier II (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

Does that MiG-23 have R60?

A test with R60 would be interesting

It’s got R-60MK

(This is a complete sentence)

Prefect I sent you a friend request in game.

T10 is pretty decent got to say

Takes 8 flares to beat a R-60MK while evading anything less will likely hit…

R-60MK harrier trial

That’s really stupid.

quite excessive seeing as you get 15 shots of flares

And 4 go to a single missile lol

not as bad for GR3 as you don’t really need chaff but for the FRS that sucks

Still a MiG-21 can carry 4 of them, you will die before he runs out.

At least we can reversal a mig pretty consistently now

Hell in a Harrier 1 you can just out rate it lol. with a little vertical and you will be on its tail before it can get the nose down to gain energy.

Still the Harrier 2 is limited to 18 degrees AOA when IRL it can do like 30 comfortably.
(meaning its one of the only jets in game that could take on a typhoon in a guns fight and win if they added that :))

It will turn inside it at a similar rate with just 18 degrees AOA.

one of the modern jets maybe. I can see a venom beating the typhoon in guns only

True but the typhoon could just climb away where as a Harrier will out climb the Typhoon to start with.

yea but thats a coward move

lmao lifts a gift but thrust is a must.

I have been thinking about this since you mentioned it a week ago (or so) and thought, why not give the British Harrier IIs maneuver mode? so the extra performance is locked behind maneuver mode when you don’t need to loose all your energy

You could do yes. I was think just increase it to 25 degrees or so.

I want to have manoeuvre mode be on the Harrier II because it will give it a somewhat unique feature only found on 4th Gens and also, the Harrier bleeds a lot of speed when at that AoA so having manoeuvre mode will help not loosing speed when you don’t want to but still be able to be super agile when you want to be
