They didn’t remove it, they couldn’t get it to work to begin with.
They’re still working on the code, and it’ll come when it’s ready.
the AGM-86C was introduced to B-52G and H in 1986
so the B-52 we have in WT can definetely carry it

there are no radar missiles around those BRs that would require more than 1 or 2 chaff anyways

I don’t get this post. In AIR RB these bombers got a BR of 8.3 and 8.7.
Why would they need ECM? For what? They will barely encounter AIM-9B and pendants.

They are throwing baits only enough to keep bomber mains barely alive.
B-52H and Tu-95 probably will be DOA just as B-66B do.
They are adding those not because those are cool bombers
They are adding those because those fancy interceptor mains who fly F-104 or MiG-21 need new prey.

Why do you need ecm at 8.3 / 8.7
You don’t even need ECM at 9.7/9.3, at most you’ll face R-3S and AIM-9B and you have unlimited flares and chaff.

You dont need acm, the plane is like 8.7 in air rb, the best radar missile you can see is like the uhhh aim7c i guess? Unless i’m forgetting one

Kind of related but I don’t get why some people are shocked by the fact that B-52H/Tu-95M will be DOA, that’s almost entirely the point of adding them as event vics for April Fools.

This is a means to add unconventional aircraft that otherwise wouldn’t be added for the sake of adding them for those who’ve dreamed of getting to use them in game.
Not only are those two DOA, but other bombers are also DOA, thanks to the gameplay design.
No, I am not shocked that B-52H/Tu-95M are DOA
because we already are having precedent named Tu-4.
The problem is that those guys usually end up getting lynched since those bombers are generally worthless in ARB, and can do nothing but be dead weight and freeriders.
Just like how F-117 in ARB do.

“Nobody plays bombers in cockpit view even in ASB, so adding other things is more important” (probably, I forgot how exactly they said)
Everything about bombers in this game is Soon™.
How many months will we need to see other strategic bombers such as V-Bombers(Vulcan, Valiant, Victor)?
How many years do we need to wait extra for those detailed cockpits?
How many War Thunder need to be closed and resurrected to see bombers are getting fixed and not being freeriders?
Addtion of B-52H and Tu-95M itself is good point
But problem is, There is no place in this game for them
And Gaijin don’t care about their positions.
Wait and see, those big beauties will be extinct on ARB within two months because they can do nothing in current meta, just like how F-117A is.

They even removed this old bomb-the-airfield-mechanic in Air RB. Its usually just 4 tiny bases, which might respawn after 15 minutes or something.
Good luck with a team stacked with 4 B-52…what are they gonna do? Well…Air RB needs a rework :)

Less DOA and more vestigial. You used to be able to win ARB by bombing bases/ground targets. But modernish jets broke the game mode by doing that so they took all that away.
