Seriously, either the B29’s flight model is garbage, or PE-8s and other heavy bombers are wrong.
If I use a different 4 engine bomber, it can actually turn, yet the B-29 wallows through the sky. Or is it just the nuke plane that can barely stay airborne?
the nuke is about 10,000lbs in weight and the B29 was no nimble beast even when on low fuel and unladen with bombs.

I never understood this either but I don’t know much about this historically. I have played pe8 and chinese tu4 though and the difference in turning ability is insane.
