Maybe they’ll give both of them more stuff once ECM is added in full in a future major update which would allow both to get ECM and be put at a higher BR with better munitions and what not.

One (1) 9000kilogram bomb where the explosive filler is half of the weight of the bomb, is weaker than the WW2 era FAB-5000
Vs.
Twenty-one (21) 2000lb bombs that are basically enough to wipe an entire map.

Look at the damage to bases that each bomber’s loadout can do and come back and say it’s Russian bias.

I thought I was going crazy when Aim-9L’s had a 100% hit rate against my Tu-95 in the event. Now I know why.

apparently we only actually need 1 aircraft type - just put different flags and names on it and then all sides will be balanced!!

To be fair they are different bomb types - the 5000 is a thin-wall demolition bomb, the 9000 is a general purpose or even a penetrating bomb designed for use against ships (expected to be stationary in port or at anchor) and “military-industrial structures and factory buildings”

Accordingly they also have different fillings - the 9000 has straight TNT - which is not very sensitive, whereas the 5000 has a mix of TNT, RDX and aluminium powder - a common “unholy trinity” (eg various mixes known as Torpex, Hexotonal, H-6, etc) which greatly improves the explosive effect compared to straight TNT, but which is appreciably more sensitive.

Correct, FAB-9000 is for more bunker style targets, it’s why in afghanistan and the sort they were lobbed from Tu-16s/22s to hit bunkers and other armored targets.

And also yes, 9000 uses exclusively TNT, and is currently correct in game w/ explosive mass and equivalent as far as I’m aware.

Tu95 this. B-52 that. They are the most free easy kills known to man.

Air RB is just a race to who can get to the B-52’s and Tu-95’s first between 7.3-9.7.

Ground RB you have at the very least the Gepard / Cheiftan / whatever other SPAA’s that can take 1 small burst and take the entire thing down before they can even react.

They are exclusively memes as expected.

Gaijin either gives the B-52H it’s ALCMs and sidegrades the TU-95 to a M-55 so it get it’s 3 big anti-ship missiles, or they just stay hanger queens.

That or they get downtiered which I doubt will ever happen.

Did anyone seriously grind them out expecting them to be any good? It was quite obvious that they were meme / collector vehicles. Just like the WW1 vehicles last year.

Hi everyone, quick question. I just unlocked the Tu-95 and I’m having some issues with it in sim mode, and I don’t know if I’m the only one experiencing them. First, the RWR isn’t reporting any information; I’m not getting any search or lock-on data on my aircraft (I went into a 10.0-11.0 match to expose it to more radar, but nothing is displayed). And second, the AI ​​gunners just aren’t firing.

Obviously not, no nato plane has the FAB-9000???
The exact same radius? that is still pretty small for one bomb drop and having to instantly rtb circle 2 times to bleed speed then land rearm and reclimb? Unlikely…
Bigger? Yes on the lancaster 12000 pd…
I really struggle to see what your problem is. That only russia got this exact bomb? that is pretty useless and a meme when you can just spawn a 4000 pd bomb and 2 2000 pd bombs with single bomb drops on the a2d1, a turbo prop ground attacker at 7.0 that can easily compete with early jets in upward spirals (and would easily slap both the b-52 and tu-95 out of the air with almost no counterplay given that they dont go at max speed)? With the b52 having a way more devastating loadout?
Why pick the most ridicolous thing to complain about? And a meme loadout after all, when 2 x fab 5000s or 4x fab 3000s are the vastly better loadout in 95% of scenarios?

Hi, my sensitivity is at 100%. For me, it’s probably a bug; in one instance, an F-8 got behind me and fired an AIM-9C at me. I really should have seen it.
