best thing they SHOULD do is add VT4 to japan and abrams to China at the same time
simple solution. Add VT-4 to Japan and add Taiwan ROC flag to China to have consistent standards ofc.

This is not the argument you believe it to be. Thailand bought the vehicle. Gaijin decided to add Thailand to Japan as a sub-tree. Thailand uses the VT4, so it should be in their line-up. Which is in the Japan’s tree. Sure, the argument here could have been better defined in terms of sub-tree versus main tree. That’s fair. But saying Japan shouldn’t get it because its Japan and Japan and China have blood then that is an entirely separate issue. However, you justify the denial to China because there is no RoC flag you can select and China as a main tree and the United States have bad blood.

Completely wrong. The M1A2T imo should not be added because there’s the same backlash as the VT-4 in Thai service. Both tanks are used by minor nations inside tech trees that are the complete opposite.
It’s a double standard: chinese players gets mad that their own vehicle goes into another subtree,but they’re completely fine when they get a vehicle from a country their enemies with?

First of all, the comparison is saying how ridiculous it all is in the sense why chinese players hate it.
Say in a hypothetical alternate world, where Germany didn’t apologize properlly for their crimes against humanity, and the jewish community, and theyve just kinda been pretending its not a thing. Add lets say, in that world, hypothetically, gaijin adds the isreal export tank, whichever you think makes sense, that was NEVER exported to germany specifically, to germany. How pissed do you think isreal will be? And do you think thats something Gaijin should do? If that answer is no. Then the situation for this isnt different.
China, ROC Taiwan is ROC, republic of china. Before the CPC came into power and recognized in 80s they were the legitimate government of China. They were the first to fight against the japanese fascists back in the 30s. If you look up chat gpt “what artrocities has japan comitted to china” you have an idea of what it is, but in short, its worse than the holocaust in terms of the pure numbers, I’m not going to compare how horrible it is which is a mistake i made first time around. Japan has a very different attitude towards the war than germany was. Theyre more about how theyve suffered than about what theyve done wrong. Look the same up with chat gpt.

I think this would be the most fair solution in my personal opinion. You should be able to select the ROC flag just like you can the Iranian over the US flag despite those nations not being on friendly terms. Japan’s sub-tree Thailand gets their MBT, and the Taiwanese player base gets their MBT. While I personally would not like to see a US tank go to a hostile nation of the nation it is intended to go to, that is politics and not the point of the issue.
