does it have a range finder?
I believe if it gets time-fused shells it would get rangefinder modification in the game just like other guntrucks.
Such vehicles didn’t have rangefinder, but AA batteries had them, so probably that’s why we have this feature in the game.
Stereoscopic rangefinders like here:

You have the Lancia 3ro with a 105mm(I think??) HE slinger at 1.7

I know, but that thing is not very good with HE, Most people mainly use the Heat or the Hesh.
Ok maybe not useless, but was less versatile with only HE, which will provide around 25mm of pen, it would be very tricky to use. This will only deserve a 1.3 br with that performance.
so I am still praying if this gets implemented gj will find some obscure AP that this cannon used lol.
How is the lancia 3ro at 1.7?, it literally falls short with most derp guns except for horizontal traverse and a machine gun, pointing forwards…,While the cannon points backwards…, which also the machine gun is an italian Mg

The Lancia 3ro has access to HEAT and HESH, and the HE round is much more powerful than the 102 mm HE round seemingly.
There is what is essentially the same 102 mm already in-game on RN Francesco Caracciolo and possible some other boats (I don’t play naval idk).
The HE-TF round has a 1.6 kg filler, which yields just over 20 mm of HE pen, which is sufficient to roof pen basically everything at this BR. I don’t know if this amount is correct, but its better than the other HE round on the P.108A, which has less filler than many 75 mm HE rounds.

This is a workable strategy, but we have to think about feasibility, and I have a few points to point out.
1- not all vehicles especially low tier has a commander’s cupola
2- “hitable” roof area is inherently small for most vehicles, thus will be very tricky to aim and shoot.
3- low tier vehicles usually are quite fast and quick responding, making aiming for roof quite hard. 1 whiffed shot you are done.
Yes it deserves 1.3, because it is really hard to use. But it is uptierable, I have used it at my 3.3 line up and it could still get a few because of HESH. I also once got a panther with the HESH at 6.0br lol.
Hesh makes the 100/17 useable, but this with 20mm penning (even worse than my predicted 25mm) HE? Yeah nah
tbf, 20 mm is usually enough to overpressure more just the roof plates of most low rank tanks. But it still wouldn’t be that great of a vehicle unless a better round can be dug up.
