Attika, another example of horrible map design

First and foremost, thank you for choosing the horrible three corridor design used by WOT on all their maps. Finally another step taken to the “it’s just a flat plane with one cap in the middle” map design we will probably see in 2-3 years.

Second, all caps are inside a bowl with all 3 being reached by the southern team first (by 3-4 seconds). They can setup sniping positions, while the other team cannot. Another great design feature.

Third, the southern team has flatter slopes leading into the bowls meaning that they can actually sit hull down to cover the caps and the people pushing them. The northern team’s slopes into the cap are steeper, meaning you actually have to crest the hill in order to get enough depression, unless you are in a tank with high depression.

For the love of god, pull the map out of rotation and rework it. In my 12 or so games I had, the southern side won 100% of the time. It’s horribly unbalanced.

For future maps, please do some basic playtesting. Check times to cap from spawns. Check if one team has an inherent advantage to sniping. Look if there is a semi-safe approach to caps. You can’t chatch every fault a map has, and that is fine. The new map, and many before that, play like they are made by someone not familiar with the gameplay of War Thunder. It really feels like it’s just some basic requirements of “It’s a tank game, don’t make it entirely flat I guess, add some hard cover every once in a while and make it look nice.”

The only positive thing I can really say about the map is that it is, as usual, gorgeous. But looks aren’t going to carry a map.

Will Gaijin ever be able to create good and balanced maps or will they have to keep showing that they are absolute incompetents?

We don’t even really need new maps. Just make maps like Fulda and Spaceport (the two best maps IMO) more common

And for the love of God, stop putting colosseum-sized maps beyond br 3.7… And certainly not in sim battles lol
