Atlas Cheetah C - "Swartkop Sprinter"

We have kind of deviated far from the original premise now, but a system would typically be considered domestic if over 80% (probably less) of the components are. The main thing is I doubt South Africa had much Chip manufacturing and designing capability and it would have been much quicker and cheaper to buy say 100 chips then make software for that. And hence I doubt it was ever 100% even with sanctions.

It would have been almost impossible, we were also starting to cut ties with Israel (from late 93 for the elections as the Government knew they would loose the elections) and

They did, now this argument is complete, enjoy your day

I’m South African ;)

SAAF JAS 39Cs tested the R-Darter, the intention is that they’ll field them (or A-Darter) in the future if all goes well, whether or not you believe it is up to you however there’s no reason as of now the SAAF Gripens can’t get or use R-Darters especially since the alternative is IRIS-T or RB-99s/AIM-120s that the regular Gripens can mount.

Not even the first time I have seen you do this

No need to pretend its not you.

This is quite clearly an alt account, similar name and interests; it’s even most liked by the other account (the one that made the comment).

Lets get this thread back on track, with the related kfir c10(b60) not looking bad in game it bodes well for whenever the Cheetah gets added, hopefully this year.

Also have we cleared up the question of what is the max AAM it can carry?

Ingame it will very likely be 4, as gaijin translates IRL limitations to the game such as not being able to carry the 5th one. A good example is the inability to carry Mavericks next to the TGP on the A-10C as it would damaged the TGP irl.

Only ever seen 4x R-Darters at once, could be wrong.

Does anyone have images of the advanced combat wing designed for the cheetah? Ive tried finding images of it, but its rather difficult (maybe im looking in the wrong places idk)

If SA is a british subtree it really should have more than like one plane

SA in WT was a disaster from Ixwa Strike. It should have first been implemented as a ground tree, a small tree would have been fine, then the air tree should have been added. If Gaijin had added the Rooikat Mk.1D and Rooikat 105 as tree fillers in the GB tree but then moved over to the SA tree when added then it would have been all and well, sort of how the American Merkavas and British Sh’ot Kal Dalet were moved to Israel and given event vehicle status.
So Gaijin made it clear that any anti Russian nation that is added to War Thunder ( will be mistreated and screwed up, especially if it is an ex colony of Britain

Agreed, SA has enough to become larger than Israel currently with the only exception being maybe the heli tree. Also Gaijin could add a Commonwealth tech tree that is unlock at Rank 3 by GB or Rank 4 US that could contain all the Commonwealth or Excommonwealth counties that are too small to add individually but together too large to go into Britain.
Alternatively, with the Subtree rework forum, you can have the whole Commonwealth tree in the British tree.
There are many good options for SA and Commonwealth tech trees but I doubt we would see these as GaYjin is stupid and love annoying and ruining players that like Britain and its children

South Africa is IMO the absolute best TT Gaijin have ever implemented though.

Personally I love the unique commonwealth additions particularly as ZA fills so many gaps the UK cannot and offers a completely different playstyle, Cheetah C is just another example of this as at 13.0 if we got any further decompression they’d be quite nice, or even Cheetah E as a Kfir Canard alternative with HMS and more agile missiles.

Only time I want anything thats not unique in this respect from CW is that I do indeed want the Su-30MKI, even if its the MKI late with domestic Indian AESA radar and NATO standard armament.

I do think the british tree should be totally reworked into being a Commonwealth of nations tree so that it ends the ripping apart of countries into multiple trees and so that people stop claiming that brit mains are claiming everything under the sun

its the best yes, but also been the most problematic because of other nations that should be subtrees, Canada and Australia

Theoretical - five.
Demonstrated - four.

The fifth missile is anecdotal so I wouldn’t expect it.

I agree, but I must admit that I absolutely hate the Kfir C.10 and because Gaijin added it before the Cheetah C every single Youtuber is gonna say it’s C&P or say it is exactly like the Kfir. People already say that several other South African vehicles are like that (some examples of this are the TTD, every single Mirage variant, Cheetahs, Olifants, ZA 35 and more) and this gets me quite angry but their gullibility and stupidity.

We are not going this direction again.

Gaijin has implemented theoretical loadouts / weaponry before and they likely will keep in mind the 5th mount for balance purposes.

I am stating it as it will be a bit of a problem for the future if the Cheetah C is added
