I have recently noticed that I suffer near extremely high PL and lag in Asian server. This has only popped up to me as a significant issue as I am in China, and had previously had server set as EU, which worked a lot better than Asian server, despite the fact that I am in fact in Asia. To make it even less nice, the Asian server often doesn’t even have the lowest ping, and I would have SA for auto selection. Is it solely my problem, or is it with everyone using Asian server?
At this point I can’t even demonstrate cause I can’t seem to get on Asian server :D
Asian server will sometimes have issues.
It varies in severity and duration. Last year we had a 1 month period where every match had at least 20% of players take 20+sec to spawn.
There have been issues recently and i hope they are fixed soon.
That is why i avoid asian servers.
That is a problem for EU players because for all low ping players have a big problem with lagging and when i shot a high ping player you cant hit a high ping player. Also the Servers are getting fucked up because of the ping difference. But Gaijin do nothing against it! That is why more and more player are toxic about China players because there was a big difference when China servers was online and China players didnt floot EU Servers

There is an asian server. However, it is prone to being unstable.

That said, I myself am guilty of being one of them. Although like the SA server, it is ‘auto select server’, so no one can make sure they enter the right server. Also just to say, the Chinese server was rumoured to be going to be ran again, since the player base has grown considerably, although with the state of PC games in China I really think it might be WT mobile that is ran in china.

China certainly has an intresting take on internet access, both for political and boomeristic fearfulness cough certain incident in 1989 which never happened cough which makes games both foreign-made and domestic really struggle to set things up in a viable way. with how hige WT is now its very much a necessity for server capacity and keeping Westerners that get mad as soon as they see Mandarin happy
Mostly foreign, domestically Tencent (maybe netease but they are kinda dead) are very familiar with Chinese regulations and they are the ones who introduced many games into China, like Net ease runs then WOW servers. Tencent is also an international company that runs COD mobile and stuff, so mobile games are a lot bigger than PC games in china, since most do not see necessity to buy a PC.
China is a lot like india in that sense. Tablets and Smartphones are have a hardcore gaming scene over there which just doesn’t exist in the west, I’m shocked it took so long for a WT mobile game to appear as WoT blitz does so well.

They sort of fell out with Blitz but later on regained the licence, pretty wild.
Partly cause Tencent’s ‘we game’ platform which uses social media accounts to login to games, such as wechat and that makes it more convenient for people who didn’t really want to create an email account just for games. (It currently has more user than steam, wild to think)
Wechat is an everything app its honestly impressive. I just wouldn’t trust anyone to run such a thing so I’m glad we don’t have that kinda thing.
Beating steam is really something but having a captive market of a billion people makes that much easier
It would help a lot if they also reverted the server selection.
For stuff like naval, you cant get a game in under 8min on the SA server.
If i want to select more than one server, I have to deselect SA. So players who want quicker mm have to go to other servers and abandon the SA server.
Before, you could select another server and keep SA selected.
