Top tier (13.0) que times is becoming a problem.
I’m from New Zealand so I play on SA (South Asian) servers, the que times are becoming very long if not impossible to get into a game, when you finally do the server is full of bots. At some times of the day I am forced to play in US servers which isn’t ideal as my ping can get to 300+ at which point the game starts to become unplayable due to lag.
Awhile ago SA servers were region locked so only people from Asia and Oceania could get into them. Is it possible this could be changed back to how it used to be. Also I still a lot of people with Chinese names is the US servers, could it be possible to get them in SA servers as well to increase the player numbers. I assume it has something to do with the Chinese not being able to play on the normal servers because of CCP rules. So Chinese players are using VPNs but getting put in USA servers as a result.
If the SA (Asian) servers were opened back up like they used to be it would allow the Chinese players using VPNs to select SA servers instead of getting locked into US servers.
LMAO no. It is because you cannot select other servers if automatic server selection is turned on (which is needed to enter SA matches). This is why the player population on SA is so low: players want lower queue times, but can’t select multiple servers with SA. So they just select NA, CIS, EU servers instead.
I believe this is due to Gaijin’s poor SA server infrastructure, which frequently has packet loss and ping problems, which may be exacerbated by higher player population. Instead of fixing it, they just decided to force this selection rule.
I created a suggestion to return SA to the general server selection, which was passed for consideration back in January 2024. Well, there is only hope and patience we have.
